I would start by identifying the strengths of draft, then tailoring FA accordingly. IMO, to go in to each draft with your NEED being the strength of draft is a must.

I would try to accumulate 8 picks and double up at 4 positions. This year though the strength at DE and the need we have, I would draft draft up to 4 DE's, with CB and DT being my other choices. The idea being if you hit on 50% of draft picks you have a starter at each position.

Free Agency

I would let Stills walk for Market Value. The amounts paid to avg. WR last year was over the top considering how many good WR's are coming out of college each year.

Obviously Jordan Cameron will leave and I would also release Misi.

I would try to resign, Jelani Jenkins, Dion Sims, Paysinger and Michael Thomas.

Players I would like to sign:-

Larry Warford OG - id prefer Zietler but he is going to command a mega contract. LW is only 26.

Kevin Minter MLB - good against the run and would allow Alonso to move to OLB

Darius Butler CB - A very good nickel corner. We have struggled for years at nickel. With NE and Edelman he would be an ideal fit.

Patrick Omameh OG - Played well at times for Jags last year. Is a raw athletic Run Blocker who would compete for LG.

Mike Gillislee RB - I like Damien Williams but he is not an every down back to compete with Ajayi.

Minter is all we need? Also, I've been re watching some games over the last week and I have concluded that Stills is a very important piece of this offense. He has developed an uncanny chemistry with Tannehill and that doesn't happen over night, sometimes it never happens. I was watching the Arizona game last night and in the first quarter there was something like a 30 yard bullet to Stills for a TD that was a thing of beauty. Stills ran a dynamite route and Tannehill threw a laser right where it needed to be. I want to see more of that next season. I hope we sit him down and find a way to keep him, 9 TDs don't get replaced that easily. I also noticed a lot of effort blocking from Stills, he's a keeper imo. I realize some guys get priced out in Free Agency but I don't see anybody paying crazy money for a guy that's never been to the Pro Bowl. He likes playing here, there are massive tax benefits in Florida and our owner doesn't mind writing large checks. If Tannenbaum gets this done I'll dislike him less!

I think Minter will help. We will also have Jenkins, Paysinger and Mike Hull who I like. Not world beaters but Minter will improve unit more than last year.

Re-sign Stills, Sims, Branch, Bushrod, and Thomas. Let Cameron and Misi walk. Sign Denney to a 50 year contract.

Sign a LB. Don't trade picks for players.

I just want some damn defensive ends, maybe someone like Taco at 22. To me, that's our teams biggest weakness right now, even more than LB. In this "wide 9" scheme or whatever the f we run, we really need some good and stout defensive ends if it's ever going to truly work, even more than LB's imo. But sure, LB's would be nice too lol.

Some good ideas there. Sounds like Miami is going to go the cheap route to fill the guard position. That means the big names there are likely out.

I like the backup middle linebacker from Carolina. I think he would allow Alonso to shift to weakside and then the Dolphins can draft a strong side linebacker early. He appears to be a player on the rise and could come pretty cheaply I'd think.

I go pretty conservative in free agency. I'd find a run stopping defensive tackle to rotate with Phillips. Miami has no depth there. I'd look to bring in one of the top guards, but maybe there's value at a mid-level player. I'd look for an inexpensive corner who could help in the slot and challenge there.

My concentration would be on keeping our own players. I'd sign Stills if he stays around the projected $6.5 million that's been talked about. I'd also lock-up Landry to a long-term deal. He's the heart and soul of the offense. I'm a bit on the fence with Jones, only because he's been injury prone. Like the player. I think Branch will command too much considering I see him as a situational guy.

Definitely think the number one need in the draft is to get a pass rusher. That could be a linebacker a defensive end, or both. Reddick seems to be picking up steam as a linebacker who can kind of do it all. I like Watts and Davis as well and they both could end up in the first round mix. I'd look either defensive end (Barnett maybe if he slides) or linebacker in R1. If Miami gets a linebacker I'd look DE in R2.

I feel like the draft should be almost exclusively defense. Would love to get one of the top safeties and also maybe a mid-round TE because there's so much value there.

I'm with you there. Miami needs someone who can set the edge at DE.

I get rid of the no name players that never done anything for us.go out and get 2 starting OG 3 starting LB,2 Starting CB 2 starting De.resign Still and TE Sims.trade Pouncey and get a new not always hurt C.

2 guards, 2 LBs, 1 slot corner, a forty and a blunt

Needs in FA. What do we NEED? Two guards, a LB, a DE, a CB and a S.
Anything you get in the draft after that is gravy.

Handle the off season.
Offensive
I spend on getting the three-starting quality o-linemen; a RG, LG, and a C. Yes, I’m preparing for Pouncey to get hurt again or if somebody makes a decent trade offer he’s gone.
I’m adding a traditional FB but I’m not overspending on a part-time player.
If Stills wants and signs a club friendly contract after I finish signing my priority FA.

Defensive
I spend on a combo DE/DT and DT/NT. Next a true MLB with some range and a couple of competent OLB’s. Lastly, if a good DB wants a chance to compete for a starting job, I’ll sign him, if not meh.
My draft is going to be defensive heavy so signing young defensive players in their prime is not an option.
