I have seen anywhere from an A+ to an F. i would put it at about a B. we adressed all of our major needs except CB and LT. We picked up a great QB in Beck and WR in Ginn. booker is a good addition and satele is really good.

So how would you rate our draft?

D

1st round pick on a punt returner who will likely be nothing more than a number two wideout in this league, if even that.

2nd round pick on a QB who was considered a Day 2 prospect about two months ago.

3rd round pick on a third down back.

Those are some great value picks right there.

F-, should have pick up Quinn...
you cant rate the whole draft on 1 guy. many teams had beck rated higher than quinn. beck is more mobile and accurate than quinn. if quinn went to BYU or another smaller school than ND then he wouldnt have went that high in the draft. i think we made the right decision, because we picked up the #2 WR and the #2or #3 QB in the draft compared to the #2 or #3 QB and #6 WR in jarrett. we also got a good change of pase RB in Booker, and and awsome lineman in satele. he could play G or C. We got a good P and a decent FB

you are saying wecouldnt have done any worse when i see we could have dont ALOT worse.

B+.....Ted Ginn Jr. has Deion Sanders ability when the football is in his hands, John Beck is more accurate than Brady Q. and has a stronger arm, Booker is a upgrade from the over rated RB's that we have and the two guys from Hawaii are studs!!!

I will refrain from grading this draft until 3 years from now. Ted Ginn is a real wildcard... if he gets completely healthy, he may become the most explosive (and I'm not talking about diarrhea) player in the league. If this injury lingers, this draft will definitely have a low grade, ala Wannstache drafts.

Beck is a real wildcard too. He has been successful playing in a pass-happy offense against Mountain West opponents. He seems to have a great head on his shoulders, so we'll see what happens.

In the end, this draft ultimately will be graded based on how Ginn & Beck fare in their careers against the careers of Quinn & guys like Sydney Rice or Dwayne Jarrett. In other words, I think it is waaaaay too early (& frankly, a bit unfair) to put grades on this wildcard of a draft class.

I wont give our draft a grade yet, I'll wait till the season starts. We didn't get Quinn but I didn't think we would get him anyway, just not the way it happened. Beck was my second choice because I think he is going to be really good at some point. Ginn could be an A+ or an F- depending on what he does and how he recovers. Ginn could be the fastest and most dynamic receiver the Dolphins have ever drafted if he doesn't turn out like Yatil Green. The rest of the draft was a pleasant surprise, especially the Samoan Posse.
If all of these players stick and contribute it could be one of Miami's best drafts ever, or it could be hope and disappointment.

im a huge beck supporter, and feel very strongly for our draft. However, you can't just say had quinn gone to byu or had beck gone to ND they would be drafted so and so. what school a player went to and who they competed with helps create the player they are, the competition they played, and the level they are familiar with competeing in. I mean yea, quinn played at ND, and that is part of his allure, they coaching level he had was top notch. had he been coached by someone else i'm sure he would have been a lower draft pick (or not), but he is what he is. I love Beck, and I hope that he blossoms in a Pro bowl player, heck I'd want even quinn to be a pro bowler. but its just not fair to right off where they played ball, becuase that is a factor in and of itself.

Thats all, I just wanted to get that off my chest, I pritty much agree with everything else though.

D-...2 centers and reach on both Ginn and Beck...The only real value pick was Booker and that might have been early.

our late round picks may salvage atleast some of the hope we lost when we heard ted ginns name instead of brady quinns. but it still hurts to think that our possible Qb of the future falls inot our laps and we pass him up for someone who will never be a #1 WR. hes a good player and all but is he worth the 9? and to think that we could ahve had quinn and taken a sidney rice or a dwayne jarret in the 2nd is painful

Name the many teams, because apparently we were not one according to a Mueller interview with armand Salaguero. Your analogy on the small school thing is flawed in the aspect that Quinn was a bigger prospect than Beck coming out of high school thus he went to the more prestigious school. You coukd make the same arguement that maybe's Beck's numbers were inflated because of lesser competition.

I agree completely, but I loved the Satele and Soliai picks.

The FB and punter picks were weird too, especially with a good TE prospect like Ben Patrick on the board.

I was really surprised we took the LB from Syracuse over Siler as well.

I could not believe we did not sign a TE as a free agent or draft one. This is major question mark for us this year.

Why all the Quinn love??

I think some of you guys watch to much ESPN. Quinn just isn't that good of a QB. He was the product of major media hype, his skills just dont measure up. He should have been a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

The Browns are fools. They might have had a shot a Brian Brohm next year with their top 5 pick but they blew it for Quinn. What a joke the Browns are. The sad thing is that Fry and Andersen may be better than Quinn. I think Quinn is the next Harrington - inconsistant and inaccurate.

I'm not sure about the Ginn pick yet, but I do like the Samoan center, FB and DT. Booker is a shifty guy, I can't remember the last time I saw a Miami RB that was elusive.

I've not heard a lot of fanfare about our concentration on the West and North regions of our scouting.

BYU, Colorado, Hawaii (2), Utah, Michigan State, Ohio State, Central Michigan and Syracuse.

Only 1 player from the South, Booker. VERY unusual. I'm surprised more people haven't talked about this.
