Howard Not Holding Out Which Is The Right Thing To Do.

So you go strictly by combine numbers and box scores? You don't ever judge based off what you see?

First the numbers, then the tape. First the athletic ability, then performance. I already said it, and you gonna ask me again.

apparently its all about the #'s

Idk if this dude even watches games truthfully

They are important, everything is important. But here in Howard we have a guy who is neither fast, nor quick, nor explosive. That's not good.

So, through this line of conversation, I'm going to assume that:

fast = 40 time
quick = 3 cone time
explosive = vertical (?)

Is this correct?

Mind you, I'm just trying to give quantitative qualifications to what one might think are arbitrary terms.

Howard had a bad combine, but improved his numbers a lot at his pro day.

sub 7 3 cone, and a 4.4 40.. Solid numbers.

He showed his elite athleticism during that Monday night against the Patriots. That recover speed isn't normal.

Right? God forbid we judge him by his elite gameplay, not an underwear track meet.
