Michael Huff and DeAngelo Hall are both probably top 5 Db's under age 25 in the entire league. Getting either one of them would cost a lot of money and picks/players. I for one would do anything and give anything for either one of them. Does anyone think we would actually go after one and if so what do you think we would offer to get one of them?

like i said in the other thread just a min ago, I think Hall would make a big difference in our D. Then i say we draft NFL ready Chris long with the 1st pick. Our D would look really solid then after that all we need is a solid vet LB and someone to play other side of Bell.

Id say that the only way we go after Hall is if it's part of a package deal to move out of #1. Huff, I would love to have on the team and I see as a better possibility. It's hard to say what Oak would want for him. I really wouldnt want to spend more than a 4th along with expendable players, Crowder/Roth/someone else mediocre. That being said I think it would take a lot to bring Huff in.

I honestly don't think that is smart.

1. If we just trade a pick we take in all their contract
2. They would probably only go for a 1st round pick [atleast if I was the Falcons or Raiders they would]

I think it woul take a bit more than one pick to get them.

Hall would have to go for our 32nd pick.
Im not against that. It would be the same as us drafting him at that pick which would be a steal. You want a good player you got to pay for him.

I don't think you trade draft picks. You can trade draft position but we need our picks and more. Look at Dallas folks - it was built primarily through the draft. That is how you do it right! We have some parts like a JT or the #1 pick as leverage for a trade. If there is a fit great - Huff and Hall are 2 potential great players BUT not at the expense of picks. Our 1st and 2 2nd rd picks have got to be 3 long term starters. That's how you build and keep from the kind of cap hell the Jets are going to see soon.

I wish I knew Parcells personally..i would call him up right now and tell him to go after thse guys...I honestly think Parcells will not go after either of these guys and that he will take a DB in the draft instead.

Perhaps we can do that trade for Hall. They move up to #1. We def need a solid CB now to cover Randy Moss for the next 3 years.

I don't think that trading from #3 to #1 and giving up Hall is a smart thing for the Falcons and they know that. Word is Hall could go to the Pats and they have a top 10 pick so they might just trade him to the Pats for their pick or something.

and hes on of the few corners that can cover moss.

hahaha

Trade with the Falcons for #3 and Hall. Then trade with Oakland for Huff and their pick so they can get McFadden

Then draft Jake Long.

Huff/Hall and Long.....

Man oh man, if only very bogus Madden ideas were to come true, but hey, both teams like both of those players so u never know.... Well, nevermind mind not happening.

The Miami Herald confirms that the Dolphins have been in talks regarding Falcons CB DeAngelo Hall and Vikings WR Troy Williamson.
Both players are on the trade block. The Herald considers Williamson more likely to land in Miami. Williamson's agent confirmed that the Dolphins are among the teams his client would prefer to play for.
That is back on Feburary 23rd which means we have some interest in Hall. Giants had interest but it has been reported "dead" because he wanted Asante Samuel type money and is set to make 4.5 mil this year but just 976k next year.
If we trade Huff for just a pick that means we will take in his 43 mil contract

Hall wants nothing to do with Atlanta. He only has 1 year left on his contract so not like they have that much Push anyway. If they get offerd a high 2nd rounder or the opertunity to move up to get Matt Ryan thell do it.

and if Hall goes to the pats im done with the AFC east. Just straight up BS

Good idea, it could work. I doubt it would happen, but it could work.
