This is a huge game for Many reasons. We played well at home vs the Broncos and good vs the Panthers. But on the road vs the lowly Jets we couldnt get anythign going offensivly. We had the bye week and became the division leaders because of some nice circumstances. The Bills are 1-3 and a division rival, no matter what people say they have a solid defense and a great RB in McGahee.

Even though we are 1st in the division Im not sold on this team. Our run d is spectacular but our Pass D is mediocre at best. Shulters is the only one in our secondary that doesnt look like his head is shoved up his @#$. Seau is a top notch run defender but doesnt do much vs the Pass. I think Saban is hoping we kept Surtain and just got rid of howard.

Our Offensive line hasnt been good but hasnt been nearly as bad as last years. Gus better step it up because aside from the fiorst game he has been just as bad if not worse than Fiedler (not feeley, feeley is in a class of his own when it coems to crap). McMike is the only reciever (He is a TE but is still a reciever) That has been playing up to par. Chambers has dropped passes and booker hasnt doen anything since game one.

I like our D-Line. It may be the best in football. Zach Thomas is the best MLB in the NFL. He plays the run and the pass and is a part of every play. And he hasnt shot anyone.

this is the most important game we have had in over a year and a half, win it and maybe playoffs are possible

I think you are right, the underlying unspoken intangibles are so so important. Confidence, the next step into Nick's program, the change and shedding of old burdens. Today, every player on the team believes if he does his job we will win. Nothing else matters but focus, execution and domination. No one player has to beat Buffalo, we all will beat..or lose to them

It's just as important as any game they play.

yeah, this game is important to me too. i have a friend who's a bills fan and i need some revenge!

I'm not sure if we are watching the same game, but if Gus is not sacked once against a strong Carolina defense, I think the O-Line has been good to excellent besides not opening some holes sometimes.

How can Gus be as bad as Fiedler, that TD to McMike was a beauty, a masterpiece. He put it excatly where McMike could get the ball and over the defenders...

The rotator cuff injury of Penn's occured after our game. While Chad was still struggling to pick up the new offense, they weren't the "lowly" Jests when we played them....The Jills do present a "trap" game for us...we are feeling pretty good about ourselves and this is definitely a 'must-win' for them. (IMO, it's a must win for us, too).

The secondary has issues, no doubt. Madison is not having a spectacular year. Daniels is holding his own for a rook and Jones has been great in run support but out of the picture in pass defense...Schulters has finally caught on to what Saban is trying to get done in the secondary...pretty sad when half of your secondary (Daniels and Schulters) are the only one's that "get" the D.

Gus needs to improve his game. He is making recievers work for every pass they catch. CC has not played that bad...if Gus hits him on a couple of the long passes that he's been open on, we'd be singing a different tune about him...He has dropped 2 balls...one he had to alter his route at the last minute and had to slide down and then the ball was thrown (again by Gus) to the outside shoulder when it should have been to the inside shoulder...if he had caught it, it would have been a good catch. The other one...just a drop...Gus hasn't hit a WR or TE or RB for that matter in stride ONCE this season....they have no opportunities for YACs because of this. Oops sorry, he did hit McMike in stride in the endzone for a TD and Booker on a long ball for a TD, my bad. But that is it !

The OL has played well in the pass protection area, giving Gus time to throw the ball. They have been inconsistent in the run-block area. Last week, they seemed to have ironed out some of those issues and RB had a decent game. RB has also gotten more comfortable in the offense which accounts for his being able to move to the openings in the line against the Panthers, as opposed to the previous two weeks.

Our DL has been somewhat inconsistent IMO...They played lights out against the Broncs, but was mediocre against the Jests and Panthers...Another reason why the secondary has been troubled is that lack of QB pressure the last two weeks...They are capable of being the top unit, but have to play more like they did against Denver. The big issue, this week, is pressure on Holcomb...that will be the key as to whether we can beat them. He can throw the ball and they have a good WR group and our secondary is weak...so pressure on him is the #1 key against the Jills...

And penalties...well, I don't even have to go there...enough said...

All-in-all, we should, on paper beat the Jills...we've had time to prepare for them and their confidence is a little shaken and they should have a soft middle for Brown to run thru. We need this game badly...it is just as much a 'must win' for us as for the Jills....
