Huizenga: Ricky Must Prove It

I think he is right.Coming back is not enough. He has to prove he has the desire and is willing to pay the price to be a top RB again.Until he does that he is not worth much
tradewise.

I think his statement that said he only had 2 years left in him was enough to insure he will wont have any trade value

Ageed, that is of couse unless he changes his mind tomorrow. I truely wish the man would get some professional help and stick with it. But once addicted to ANY substance at all, they will use it as a crutch saying it makes them feel "normal". My case is more extreme as my wife is bi-polar, but I can see some of the circular patterns arrising.

The thing that truely sucks, no matter how good a person they are... you just can't convince them that the addiction adds to the problem and comes nowhere close to solving it. I have been fighting for 8 plus years now to get the woman that I fell in love with back.

Bah, I am getting all soft and sentimental now. My appologies, no need to bring this into a football forum. Though I have said that in the past as well. haha. Things just aren't going smoothly in my household right now.

Good for Wayne. Ricky needs to prove himself.. And that means keeping his mouth shut, while watching Ronnie Brown carry the load. That means being fully dedicated to the organization and the sport, not just showing up because he's contractually obligated to do so.

addiction

Those of us familiar with addiction are much more easily convinced about the severity of our condition by another addict. That's why AA etc. works so well. We just don't want to listen to anybody who doesn't understand. Someone who has been through it all MIGHT be able to catch our attention, if we are in bad enough shape to want to listen. ;)

He said he had 4000 yards. The optimists here turned that into 2 years.

Just hope Ricky doesn't fail anymore drug tests. :yell:
