Will Huizenga proclaim his "holdout threat" this year and how could that affect our pick ?

Well I can almost bet you unless you have the first overall signed before the draft I am willing to bet he holds out.

I know and his threat last year was the player would not be signed at all if he held out. If he did that, I wonder what Parcells would do ?

I would bet thaqt would be one of those things that Tuna goes to the owner and says Listen you cannot be making those type of threats. This kid was the 1st overall selection and he will hold out until you give him 1st overall money.

Why not? He's said it every year since the RB situation, I don't see it changing now.

Huizinga's full of hot air. Who cares what he has to say unless he backs it up. Jason Allen held out and he still got a contract.

It's not Wayne's call to make anymore, he turned it all over to Parcells when he hired him. Wayne is just the bankroll.

I hope that who ever it maybe, we take in the draft that he does NOT hold out. It is in the players best interest to get into camp and start to learn how to play in the NFL.

I think Wayne is going to have to change his stance. Theres no way he'd really sit the number one pick for holding out. I doubt a contract will be worked out prior to draft because they will be trying to trade that pick up until Goodell is at the podium. The only way our pick will be signed on time is if they overpay him.

I can't stand some of these kids who hold out for outrageous amounts of money. Hell, Favre would play for a Hot Dog. Get your contract signed and get your butt up and practice.

Goes both ways. We paid Jason Allen and he still managed to hold out for 2 yrs before he showed up!:shakeno:

Something tells me Parcells won't want to hire "pay me" type of people. Of course all athletes will want as much as they can get, but they'll be drafting people who really are football guys, who live and breathe football. He wont want guys consumed by greed. I'm not guaranteeing our pick WONT hold out, but I am saying I dont think they'll draft a guy who values money over football
