Hunt and Kindley

Disastrous. A top 15 defensive tackle that doesn't effect the other team's passing game and is an average player at best right now, a trade of a second round pick for Josh Rosen, a third round draft pick on an offensive lineman (Dieter) who most scouts felt was a fifth round pick or later who is barely serviceable as a backup, and a reach on a horrible prospect who shouldn't even have been drafted ( Isaiah Prince ). Van Ginkel, Myles Gaskins, and Chandler Cox were three of their last four picks of the draft and they are all just "jags" that could easily be replaced and the sad thing is they turned out to be better picks than the first three picks. So, go ahead and defend Chris Grier and fool yourself into believing that 2019 wasn't a disaster little Scotty.

lmfao you have to have a real big stick up your ass to be complaining about a 6th round pick.

you also need to provide some reference before spouting off some garbage hyperbole like "most scouts felt was a 5th rounder" which wasn't the case at all. 5th round was his FLOOR in that draft.

Matt Miller said Deiter was a 3rd-4th rounder:

The Draft Network said his value was as a second rounder: https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/michael-deiter

PFF's big board had him as the 105th overall player (3rd or 4th round): https://www.pff.com/news/draft-pffs-top-250-big-board-for-the-2019-nfl-draft

SB Nation had him as their 87th overall prospect: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2019/4...big-board-best-players-strength-weakness-2019

Draftek had him as 86th overall player: https://www.drafttek.com/Top-100-NFL-Draft-Prospects-2019.asp

Draft Countdown had him as a 3rd-4th round player: http://draftcountdown.com/2019-nfl-draft/2019-top-overall-rankings/

Draft Wire had him as a 3rd rounder: https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2019...kins-quinnen-williams-josh-allen-ed-oliver/3/

Moral of the story: don't talk out of your ass, there are plenty of receipts out there that prove your statement bullshit

His salary numbers for 2021 and 2022 are 3.1 million per year. I think a lot of people are under the impression that he signed for starter money... and as you can see, he just didn't.
You don't sign a contract like this and expect to start without challenges.

Lots of beast centers coming out in 2021 draft. This line will eventually be smash mouth. Need a stud. RB, WR or TE, and pass rusher next year. We may make a wild card this year. but next year. playoffs. Yes, Playoffs?

Looking at QB School's Fitzy breakdown and watching the line, it looks like Karras is the weak link. Serviceable, yes. But the OL draft is looking like a grand slam. All of the other picks could be complete busts but the draft would still be a success if we secure the line like this for the next decade.

Does any of that make you feel better? The fact is, Dieter isn't good and the 2019 draft was a disaster, especially at the top.

You know what's funny? I saw the same type of defense with all of the so called draft sites claiming Charles Harris was projected as a first round pick while many on here were saying he was a reach and wasn't worthy of a first round selection. Gee, who turned out to be right? I don't give a flying f**k where some draft site has guys rated, the fact is in both cases with Dieter and Harris, not to mention many others over his tenure, the guy getting paid to make the selection for this organization, Chris Grier, is getting it wrong a lot more than he is getting it right and is hitting at a much lower rate than some amateur draftniks on Finheaven.

Now that's how you defend you position on a forum....

Nice work.....

so dumb. who was picked in the 2019 draft after Michael Deiter that would have made it such a much better pick, Miles boykin? Stop it

in all serious I can probably pick out 4 players in the next 72 picks (miami's next pick round 5) after Deiter that would have been worth it. And miamis next pick being van gingkle whos looking like a stud right now.

my point everyone is missing. there isnt enough talent sometimes to hit on every pick.

fact is you lied to make your argument sound better...
So your point is Dieter was considered a third round pick by some draft sites? Great. Defend the rest of the draft. I don’t see you doing that. By the way, just because you can show me sites that say Dieter was considered a third round pick, I know that many considered him a reach. Take a look at what TedSlimm felt about him. Besides nothing really matters other than the fact that he’s not good.

The point is, who could have been picked instead of Wilkins in the first round and who could have been picked in the second round instead of the dumpster fire of a trade for Rosen. Any way you slice it, 2019 was a major failure of a draft. People need to wake up to the fact that Chris Grier isn’t very good at what he does. I’m fairly optimistic about this last draft class however. I think the additions of Marvin Allen and Reggie McKenzie might have made the difference.
