After FA and draft thinking coaches may need to start hunt at rt. Much more important position than guard and lessons learned. Unless we sign a veteran rt i think this is going to happen.

Nope.

He's our Right Guard and staying put barring injury.

Please don't post thread titles like they're something that has actually been announced by the team (thanks for editing it!).

He’s the best we’ve had at RT compared to Davis, Hunt etc.

He might be the best RT we've had, but that's not where he's best. It's just that the other guys we've put there have been terrible.

IMO, you don't make your above-average G a below-average T. You find a way to get a tackle who's at least average. Don't rob Peter to pay Paul.

Sorry. But i say yes to rt. Better than jackson at rt
Jackson has never played Right Tackle in the NFL, so that seems to be an obvious statement.

That doesn't mean you move Hunt from his optimum position.

I can't see Jackson beating out Eichenberg for RT in his first outing at that spot, either.

I'd rather trade for a RT if Eich is sucking it up, than move Hunt.

I loved Hunt at RT towards the end of his rookie season. Now I love him even more at RG. I’d really like to just keep him at one position so he can become great at it, because he has that kind of ceiling IMHO. It could have been either position but I say keep him at guard and get ready to lock him down in 2 off-seasons.

Still hoping Jackson improves and gets the RT spot. He's still just 22

Whoever wins out better ball out. Pretty important spot taking care of Tua's blind side.

Ideally, the ball won't be in Tua's hands enough for it to matter.

I have a suspicion that the versatility of this offense, the play-action and RPO elements and being significantly better at at least two OL spots than we were last year is going to make some of out linemen look better than they really are, probably considerably better. We have a number of other ways to slow the rush now.
