Actually retirement has to do more with injury history and interest in your services than realization that your playing days are done.A competetive player always thinks hes got another "good year to go".

I remember Goodwin a bit. He was alright, nothing special, but a guy who was capable of making a handful of plays in a season, and he was a good blocker IMO. Good Luck Goodwin.
