it's really not much more than a bad thunderstorm. here is a link to a local tv station that you might find interesting http://www.palmbeachpost.com/weather/content/weather/

this is noaa radar. the one hour rain rate is a interesting feature

good luck!

...says the guy in Indian River County...sorry, man, but I also live in CS and something like 250,000 people at last count don't have power in Broward County. Ours has flickered about 40 times in the past 4 hours. It's very windy out there, and two people have died from going outside and getting crushed by trees.

The "experts" are saying it will be past us by 10:00. I hope they're right.

I am in Coral Springs, it's pretty bad but we got lucky, we will looking at almost a direct hit, but it moved south, more towards North Miami. To be honest, the direct hit is in the Dolphins Stadium area.

Ease up man we had it bad last year we care.

That's an unfair comment to those who are in this "storm"

We just lost power in the Kendall area of southwest Miami. For an hour the blocks across the street were out but we maintained power. My iBook just switched to battery power when the lights went out. Damn it's dark, not to mention windy and wet and noisy. Hardly a thunderstorm.
