the team is on a 4 game win streak with a BIG win over 4th rank duke and a nice win over maryland do you guys think we'll make it to the toury ?
theirs a big game tonight 2/27 vs clemson at 7:30 but i dont think its even on tv in south florida! pretty mad cause its a huge acc game for both teams and its not even on fsn or sun

Clemson just sent the hurricanes back to reality.

You're rooting for Clemson? No, seriously: Clemson? Clemson? Are you kidding me? Clemson?

All the Hurricanes have to do is make some noise in the ACC Tournament, and they're probably in March Madness as a 15 or 16 seed. A basketball team from a football school doesn't beat Duke on the road and NOT get some kind of consideration.
 
They have to win 2 of the next three and at least make it out of the first round in the ACC tourney. Its almost impossible to make it in with a losing conference record, especially with the ACC having a down year.

Miami padded its schedule with lousy teams early on and that never seems to work. It kills your RPI and makes the kids think they're better than they really are.
 
I agree, all they need is 2 of the next 3 and thena 1st rd win in the ACC Tourney. They have an easy sched to close it out so they should be able to do it so that should mean at least 4 ACC teams in.

Yes beating Duke helps but

Clemson has taken North Carolina to overtime twice.

Clemson also has huge wins over non coference opponents such as Purdue who is tied for first in the Big Ten and second place Mississipi State in the SEC.

Thos non-conference wins will help.

A win in Maryland and it's a gaurantee.

I do think there will be 4 or 5 teams from the ACC. Probably 4. I think Virgina Tech will make it if they win there last two against Wake and Clemson.

It's going to be fun to watch the next couple of weeks
 
I'd like to see Miami go far, all the way of course, but I don't think we have the manpower. I'm sure we'll make a good run of it though:woot:
