Well here is somethign to look at guys. Minny is also interested in Hutchinson but he said he will not say anythign about his intentions or future untill tomarrows game is over with. HOpefully he comes back to miami! plz, plz dont franchise the guy.

I would be shocked if Seattle did not use the franchise tag on Hutch.

yea nad then prob let alexander go. this sucks.

Why the hell does everyone suppose we'll franchise him? To do that we'd have to make him equal to average the top 5 TACKLES in football. It'd be cheaper by a long shot just to give him the 'big' contract as the highest paid guard. Unless I'm totally missing something...

hmm...not sure. I guess you have a point. I somewhat do see him leaving b/c he does say that he wont say anything untill the SB is over with and how he'd love to play for miami as it was his favorite team and I believe its his home town? I kinda get the hint that he would like to leave but it isn't his choice I believe.

I thought he was a Guard? Besides Gaurd tend to make significantly less than Tackles.

There is no difference between the O-line positions as far as the Franchise tag goes. A Guard or Center franchised will be paid an average of the top 5 O-linemen, which are all tackles.

If Hutchinson sees the open market, I think Miami definately has an inside track on him. We've got money, an elite O-line coach, no state tax, and it's his hometown and favorite team growing up.

I'd love to sign Hutch...the only issue I have with it is giving a guard so much damn money. He may be a guard but he will get tackle money.

6 years, 35 million with a 10-12 million dollar signing bonus....that is some major cash for a guard.

If he doesn't want to stay with Seattle, he isn't going to sign the 'big' contract. In that case, if Seattle wants to keep him, they have to franchise him.

No Chance

Read my lipsWe have NO chance on getting Hutch. This guy is one of the top 3 guards in football...Seattle will not just let him walk...no way !!!AND THIS IS HIS CHANCE AT A MAJOR PAYDAY!I would love to have him anchor this line but lets all be realistic and come back to reality for a little while.MiamiRon

I was reading on article about when we traded for RW and it said wanny also made an attempt to pick up C Kruetz but he refused to play in miami and wanny said he really wanted teh guy and now he is one of the best C. MAN DID WE HAVE A CHANCE AT GREATNESS! SEE WAHT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR DAMN TEAM HAS NO RESPECT AND MUCH CAME FROM THE COACH!

I read in the USA Today on friday where Hutchinson said his wife really loves the Seattle area and he love playing along side of Walter Jones (who wouldn't).

We didn't just make an attempt. We offered him the richest contract in NFL history for a center. But he took less money to stay in Chicago.

Hutchinson is from the Miami area. But I doubt he'll be playing anywhere other than Seattle next year. They'll show him the money. He's a higher priority than Alexander.

If I were him, I'd stay put. He's going to be playing for a champion, and next to the best LT in the league (Walter Jones).

was it only me or did other people notice that hutch did NOT allow one person to penetrate? I have never seen a miami PLAYER not a guard but ANY PLAYER let alone anyone else in the NFL do waht he does/did. It is amazing. he holds his ground like non other, moves extremely well an djust pushes the line incredibly. If we had him, it woudl be the pick up of the decade for miami along a (RW i guess). He is a MUST and quit complainin n B**** bout money. we have the money to spend adn he is worth it. WHY DOES EVERYONE want to win the cheap adn easy way? doesnt work. you guys want plaeyrs that make 3 million bucks for 5 yrs. tehre is a reason why. stop taking stupid short routes and cheap routes and go for the BIG "WIN"
