lol I know I have bash him for having the noodle arm. I admit, I was wrong and I will refrain from bashing him as as much as I can.

I know i am the only here that needs to clean out there closet(those bashing ginn, satele and brown).

It's one game, but a lot of bashers (including my self with Penny) need to eat crow.
Ginn bashers
Ronnie bashers
Porter bashers
Henning bashers
Beck bashers, he didn't fumble a single snap...hehe
I will be wrong every week with this outcome!

lol.. i am hoping i dont have to bash anyone.

i'll take his crappy arm combined with his great decision-making and improv abilities any day of the week. oh, and he's somewhat accurate, too.

Dont worry about it...it was never really Pennington. Funny things happen when you decide to throw downfield. It opens everything else up.

Funny, I've been contemplating starting an "eat crow" thread since the game.

This game should not be taken out of context. Which is the most common mistake that will be made on this board.

This team is YOUNG and LEARNING. It was a bit of a trap game for the Patriots. They were overconfident, had history and streaks on their side, playing at home, just went in and beat the Jets, had Maroney out and had yet to really be exposed for Cassell's weaknesses. Couple all of that with us running a gimmick offense for 10 or 12 plays (not just the TD plays), Pennington playing at a very high level, WRs starting to LEARN from Sparano's benchings and getting Fasano back in the gameplan.... and all of the cards fell into place.

Next week, we might lay another egg. But, that is how this team will play for a while. They are young and this staff needs time to teach. Because it's what they are doing... teaching. They are not trying to win the next game, they are trying to develop skills and methods of success these players will need to win on a consistent basis.

I saw immediate returns from Ted Ginn Jr. being benched. People on this board have been crying about Wilford and Ginn's benchings, but it payed dividends yesterday. Henning proved he wasn't a vanilla play caller as he has been bashed for up until now. He showed he can call a darn good game. But, he needs the players on board with him in order for it to work.

Pennington's timing is improving and it showed in his accuracy. Many of you expected him to take the field Week 1 and play with these guys like he's been with them for 6 years.

The fans should enjoy the ups and downs this year. This team has a LONG way to go. We will see more games just like these first 3. Some greatness, some lowness and some close finishes. At times we'll look like we have Pro Bowlers. At times it will look like we have replacement players. But, it's all part of it a REAL rebuilding. From the ground up.

This will take 4 years. Enjoy the ride.

And EAT CROW!

And EAT CROW!

Excellent points.

As a Bills fan, I think you are dead on about the long road the Fins (and their fans) have in front of them because the Bills are in the third year of their latest rebuilding scheme, and appear to have finally "turned the corner" into respectability -- and Tom Donahoe left the Bills with a lot more talent on their roster than Mueller/Saban/Cameron left the Fins with, so the Bills didn't have quite the mountain to climb that the Fins have.

BTW, thanks for spankin' the Patsies ...

After the recent parade of retards we've had in charge of this team I can only hope that this is a sign of things to come, and that we are headed in the right direction. Grats on 3-0 atop the AFC Eat ALONE!!!!! Amazing. Maybe in a year of two it'll feel like the 90's again with our teams having epic games as we battle for the division.

Anytime! Enjoyed it!

But, that game wasn't about us announcing our return to division contention.

I think moreso, it served as a shot across the bow of the Patriots. I think it showed them they are no longer elite. And it also showed the difference between worst and first in the AFC East is shrinking. They've been coasting for several years in an uncontested state. We just announced we could beat them. But, Maroney and Brady weren't there. So, in the back of their mind, most of the players probably reflect on that game with a "yea, but...".

The division is about to become a more heated struggle as the Bills, Jets and Phins re-enter the race.

In a sense, this loss is more about the Patriots not being who they are. If their QB2 is Cassell, then the entire depth of talent within the team is now being called into question. The Super Bowl was the first domino. Losing Brady was the next. And now losing to us.

They've not sunk to the bottom in 4 games, but they're no longer untouchable. All great things do come to an end. And I think the mythical god-like status of the Patriots just wore off.

The AFC East has changed. Foxboro just lost it's grip.

We just took the Patriots to the woodshed... and it feels GREAT!

As great as the running game was, Pennington was instrumental in winning the game. If Beck or McCown is back there, the running lanes simply don't exist.

I haven't doubted Pennington all season. He is a huge asset for us.

And we didn't trade anything to get him!

That single move by the Jets may have cost them 2 or 3 years. They have nothing at QB except Favre. They didn't just replace Pennington, they kicked him to the curb and rested with the thought of Favre coming to town. They have no plan to replace Pennington/Favre. They accelerated their time table by acquiring an older QB with less window of playing time.

Our victory against the Patsies proved our success in offseason moves as much as it highlighted how flawed the Jets' "win now" logic was in the same offseason. They mortgaged their future and lost to the Brady-less Patriots last week AT HOME. We took their "garbage" QB with a rookie team and put a beat down on the same Patsies a week later in THEIR HOUSE.

As much as it says how much in the right direction we are headed, it implies the opposite for the Jets.

I almost feel bad for them.
