Charlie Weis would have been a good choice as head coach for Miami. The guys play calling is second to none. No wonder NE won three of the last four Super Bowls. I just finished watching the ND vs Stanford college game and for ND it was a nail biter. ND won the game in the last 1:55 and I was most impressed how Quinn camly marched his team down the field to score and also cleverly converted a 2 point attempt.

Brady Quinn did'nt have one of his best games but showed enough composure and maturity to not force the issue and let the game come to him. He certainly reminds me of Tom Brady. If only this kid was coming out this year he would be a great pick up for the Dolphins. Pheeewwwww.

He is going to be a great QB for whatever NFL team that gets him, and I am sure he will be a first year starter after Charlie Weis finishes grooming him for the NFL.

True Greatness in the making.

I for one will be following this kids career.

Yeah, Weis is a genius for recruiting that Quinn kid.

Oh, wait...
No on that, the kids been around longer than Weis's been a college coach.:goof:

Weis wouldn't be doing any better than Saban is with miami. True be told we still stink at the QB position.

So just what are we crediting him with? If we're saying Weis has given Quinn the Tedford treatment, that's one thing. I think people are saying that Quinn is a great talent, though. I cannot imagine how we're supposed to believe Weis had a hand in that since he didn't recruit the kid. He's feasting on the rep that belonged to the last guy, and I won't be impressed with him until he starts winning with his own recruiting product.

After watching the game....I think Weiss could have won with the opposing QB...T.C. Ostrander. That kid has everything Quinn has...except a O-line to protect him.

Then you haven't watched Quinn play very often.

No, No, No don't get too technical. In essence you won't give Weis props if he did not recruit Quinn. Mundane:yell:

Actually, He is to be credited with identifying the special talents that Quinn had and channelling them in the right direction e.g. a defensive minded coach might not have seen that as being very important to embrace Brady Quinn's talents but a offensive minded coach see his as a diamond in the rough, and that is basically what Weis did with Quinn.

See how simple that is.:shakeno:Hope you understand.

Totally agreed that kid has some decent touches. Was able to find his wide recievers on deep routes, and the tight end certainly made him look good with those short routes. He also was able to thread the needle a couple of times and his descision making seemed adequate to successfully move his team consistently down the field.

I think Wiess would have been a great choice, but Saban is just as good or better. The one thing short term I feel Wiess would have helped though is at QB. I don't think Gus would be our QB right now had Wiess been our HC.

You got that right, and maybe the "ferret" could have been a reclamation project. I Like Saban for the fins, who emulates the Belichick in every way. But who could be better than someone Belichick trusted the ambitions of his club to, than Weis.

Oh.....and Weis will win a national championship sooner than Saban won his at LSU, so if it is turning clubs around watch Weis do his stuff.

I'm happy that we have Saban.Good luck to Weis tho I don't like ND anyway(go canes)but I think Nick will do fine for us.

Ozzy rules!!

i like having saban and in the end i would rather have him

but there is no denying wiess. he is the best offensive coach i have ever seen. the play design and playcalling are amazing. he attacks everybody on the field.

in NE, he used the game to test everything out and just waited for the right time to string the successful plays together.

almost every game NE looked like they couldnt do anything and then all of the sudden they roll off 4 unstoppable plays for a TD.
