I am hearing good things about our draft.

You know the second day of the draft had me confused and i too was upset but after cooling off and talking to some people they think we had a great draft because we drafted for need and for depth . Lets face it we have been a very small player team since the jimmy regime but This starting to look like a team i have been hoping for . yes its premature but I really think after hearing the compliments from radio host in my area that maybe the fron office has realized that after the baltimore game that we were out sized .

the thing is i just wanted to share a small ray of good news or rather some nice compliments about our draft.

several people have said it wasnt our defense that cost us alot of games it was the offense . in all honesty i think they are right about this.

we could be in for a shakedown year where anything goes .:up:

Right on about the offense. I still think it will be running on limited capacity until Pennington is out and we have a QB that can throw the deep outs and 9 routes.

About are offense: I really think Jake Grove is going to help the oline alot this year; along with long, Carey and hopefully smiley gets back to form, are oline should be very powerful this year. Now are D....key is passrush and it comes in a form of a free agent....my last wish....bring in JT. I think will be preaty well set

It was not excactly the offense the problem . it was the lack of depth in some positions . the loss of certain players hurted to much . for example the loss of camarillo really hurted the passing game and bess took to much of the load ( he did great ) but now they are adding depth to the receiving corps , QB and CB`s we are better built now .

The offence will improve with the added talent, and will really shine, once Pennington and his limitations are on the bench.

if the offensive lineman can just stay healthy, this offense might just be able to run the football without the wildcat!!!if they stay healthy and thats a BIG IF... things could be awesome on offense!!!

The offence will thrive if the line holds up.That is a big if with the injury history of grove and smiley.Hopefully we do not have to add thomas to this list.

We really needed help on the defensive side too. If you notice the games when they spread us out, New england did it and Kansas City When you spread us out it negates the pass rush. We didn't have enough CB to cover all of the recievers they put out on the feild. I think Tony noticed that in the KC game because there was no way we should have gave up all those passing yards to KC when they only really had one receiving threat in Gonzo. I like the draft because we got 2 decent CB's to prevent other team from copying that blueprint.
