Ross seems like a person looking to do things tactfully and professionally. Instead of a bold firing, if Sparano is to get the boot, Ross will let Sparano leave with a bit of dignity, as if it was his decision to hang it up.

What do you think will happen?

Sparano won't resign. Ross owes him a ton of money and $$$$>>>>dignity.

What dignity? Whatever dignity Tony had went right out the window when he stuck around while Stephen Ross was in wine country recruiting Harbaugh.

exactly, he knows he isnt getting a job anywhere else unless its for a high school and he just got an extension from his boss...if ross wants him gone then ross needs to fire him...

Great points all, but even so, in that case, Ross didn't fire Tony but wanted to right?

It seemed that Ross didn't make the bold move to fire him, but sent a clear message to all that he will hire someone better, should the opportunity present itself. For some reason Ross seems like he has a passive-aggressive way of handling big change.

Ross needs to at least offer him a package to resign. Maybe Sparano will, who knows.

Ross didnt fire Tony because of the lock out but he had second thoughts and went after Harbaugh which was a dumb move......Tony will not resign and I dont blame him........pay the man Ross

Can Ross just buy him out? Pay him the contract salary early, and upfront, then send him on his merry?
