I cant believe the "fans"

First off, let me start by saying that i do NOT support this "protest" in davie. It is absolutely embarrassing and borderline classless.

What exactly are the so called "fans" protesting? Are they protesting because manning didnt want to sign and there was nothing we could do being it was his decision?

Are they protesting to fire ireland because he passed on orton, kolb, smith, and flynn? Because those guys are the **** i mean anyone of them would have one us a superbowl. How dare ireland not make a kneejerk reaction based on what the fans want (orton, kolb, smith, flynn) and overpay all of these sub-par quarterbacks.

We are rebuilding! deal with it. Teams do NOT win superbowls through FA and that is a FACT! we traded marshall for two 3rd round picks for a reason. In philbins first press conferance he even stated that the miami dolphins are not in a win now situation. The focus of this team will be game by game to win. they are looking at the bigger picture when only a small portion of the fans are as well.

Now dont get me wrong, the premise of this thread is not to sit here and defend ireland because i dont like him as much as the next guy, my point is that i think we are all over reacting. The media is making all of this look worse than it is until the fans took it upon themselves with this great idea to "protest" outside the training facility and make a mockery of our franchise and fan base. Whats next? start wearing opposing teams jerseys to the home games??? Are we lions fans now??? I dont want to hear " make our voices heard" that is BS. If you want to make your voices heard how about you stop buying tickets? Stop buying merchandise, just stop supporting this team financially and your voices WILL be heard.

To make it public and protest like a bunch of god dam losers makes everything worse.

I believe this is the lowest our fan base has ever fell.

we have been rebuilding for years... i have yet to see any results. only scrubs after scrubs after scrubs.

"we traded marshall for two 3rd round picks for a reason. In philbins first press conferance he even stated that the miami dolphins are not in a win now situation."

What reason? So we could draft two superstars with third round picks? Sorry, but anyone defending this decision is a blind homer, and I'm usually an optimist (supported Henne as long as I possibly could, even gave Sparano the benefit of the doubt.

This started with the failed Parcells project and is still going. Ireland has had more than his fair share of chances, and has failed miserably. FIRE THAT JOKER!!

The reason being he is not a high character individual like philbin said. I dont want thwt overated piece of trash on my team anymore

I don't like any protesting but I don't lose any sleep over them nor do I worry about their status as fans or how it impacts the team. The only one who should give a damn about it is Ireland and I am betting that he doesn't give two ***** himself.

Rebuilding is fine, but this team needed to be rebuilt after the 2004 season. Now, eight years later, said rebuilding still needs to take place. That doesn't inspire hope, much less confidence, in the future. Also, the team is being rebuilt by a F.O. that's made more than it's share of stupid moves and has failed-- to this point-- to improve the team enough so that we're even competitive (3 straight losing seasons, each one worse than the one before). Why should anyone have faith that the people in charge have any idea what they're doing?

I'm all for rebuilding; I just wish the work was being done by a different contractor.

classless? yeah all nfl fans are viewed as the classiest individuals by society. when did we start taking etiquette classes to cheer for our team. have you ever been tailgating? lots of class running around there.

what are the fans protesting ? hmmm. how about the downward spiral this team has been on for a long time.yeah, you can make a point ireland passed on some qbs with logical thinking but jesus christ thats his job, he is bound to get something right. its no excuse for continual mediocrity year in and year out. ireland does just enough to keep his azz from getting fired every. i think any other team would have ****canned him by now.

maybe these fans spend thousands of dollars tickets to go see their home team flounder every year and their tired of the product. tired of watching teams get their franchise qb every year but we sit on our hands.

maybe you shouldnt be so worried what eveybody else thinks of the dolphins. who gives a crap what people think. theres too much judging going on, let people have fun with it. some of you fans have your azzes wound so tight, you probably sound like ducks when you walk.

i believe this is the lowest the dolphins have fell and i thank those fans for showing they want a change.

HOW DARE YOU INSERT LOGIC INTO A MOB! BURN EVERYONE, THEY SUCK, WAHHHHH!

In all seriousness great post, I wish there were more levelheaded fans like yourself

So I guess fans are not allowed to express their displeasure over ownership/Front office management that continues to make one mistake after another?

No we cannot force free agents to come here, but when our GM takes Ted Ginn, Jr. over Patrick Willis, who is arguably the best LB in the NFL, and does this over and over, the fans have a right to express themselves. When we continually draft guys like Pat White and John Beck, we have a right to question the mentality of our GM. Some people may decide not to buy the mercahndise or tickets, but if people want to picket outside that is their right as a fan and an American. It's called Freedom of Speech.

YEa but that goes to show how dumb you are, because niether this GM nor owner made those choices (Pat White excluded who was a parcells pick)

Who cares about the protest? They are just out there enjoying the weather and having fun. The fan base is just fed up with the incessant dross of this organization. Maybe the protest is premature considering the draft hasn't even happened, but some people are just tired of the same stuff. IMO there really isn't anything to protest about yet, but let it be. It is what it is. The fan base's moral has slowly been declining after a decade of pure crap that anything entices them to make something out of nothing.

It's like being in a long-term relationship and every little thing makes you want to slap a bitch. Signing Garrard is equivalent to asking me to take out the trash while I'm watch Football. Bitch are you serious!?

lmao.....u hit the nail on the coffin....i am the number one optimist when it comes to the Fins but I think at the end of the day this isnt stirred by a lackluster free agency. This has been years of abuse to a fan base starving for a great product on the field. Ireland should have gone a long time ago.

To be honest there is nothing about youur statemen that is wrong.... However, this team is not afforded any more time to get things right. They have been poor and borderline for years now and fans deserves more.

The thing is we hd a decent team going into the off season and the thing with decent teams is fans expect for them to slowly become good teams and then great. This org has repeatedly failed to do that. The Dolphins cant seem to get out of phase 1.

To me the GM is the cause and when other players start talking about how players view the dolphins and how players refuse to play here then it became clear that it is time to get fire the GM.

Ierland wants to pay the right cost for FA however, what he does not understand is this team is so ran into the ground that we are going to have to over pay on a few good players just to get things going here. You thjink about it, Miami and the lets say Dallas both offered you a similar contract. where would you go?

Its just time to get things right for a change.
