Max Starks from Pittsburgh to play LT or RT (25 years old)
and maybe Ryan Lilja from Indy to play guard..I think Faneca is a little to old for us for the money he will want.....

Faneca is not really too old IMO, but he will cost too much. I would like to see us get some quality young free agents that can grow with the rest of the team over the next couple of years. I'd also like to see us be conservative with the money spent until the team matures a bit and then hopefully when we are contending and realisticly one great signing away then we will have the money to go after him.

Max Starks is huge, i met him at this bowling event last year at dolphin mall. My friend has a production company and we were asking him what it would take for him to be in a Dolphins jersey and he said he would love to play for Miami (every NFL player says that) he was a cool guy, he even let me try on is Steelers superbowl ring (huge!)

i like max starks 2 other players i would like us to see i know we talk about berrian and bryant johnson at wr but a 2nd wr for us could be dj hackett i like his attitude and play only 26 and also ben troupe also young and can help this offense. this is just talk but we need to focus on d as well hpe we can make that splash out there in FA this year!

Parcells likes Big Boys and Starks seems like a Parcells Boy. Course I wouldn't mind A. Samuel from the Patsies...

Max Starks is a younger version of LJ Shelton. He's big and has alot of potential, but he's also an underacheiver that has Steeler fans ripping out their hair (my brother and father among them). Last year he lost his starting job to 2nd year player Willie Colon.

The only way I see it happening is if Parcells and Co. feel they can get the most out of him and he comes at a relatively cheap price. He would not be a LT, he would play the right side.

i agree with almost everything you post. even if he played great next year, he is still a RT. carey is a true RT. we don't need two RT's, we need one LT to dominate for years to come. his size gets you pumped, but then you see how slow he is......

I have a good friend who's a Steelers fan. This is a direct quote about
Starks. "Good riddance, he a blob of ****" Now, my friend's not an expert. He's like me and you and the every other fan but apparently Starks has not distunguished himself in Steel Town.

That's because he knows they're going to lose him. Max Starks has been at the very least a consistently solid player for them, anyone who disagrees is trying to under value him and make less of a deal out of it that he's leaving. I did this myself with Sam Madison, Chris Chambers and even Patrick Surtain. Madison has a super bowl ring now, Chambers had at the very least a solid second half and post season with the Chargers and Surtain.....well the Chiefs suck :)

So it shows how much 'fans' know.

I've heard that he's an underachiever ever since his 1st year. ;)
