What is your opinion on taking Grant over DB or O-Linemen?

My personal opinion is that taking a Corner or Safety will not do as much as getting a DT that will be lined up next ti another very good DT, and surrounded with a number of quality Pass-Rushers.

Grant might jump in from day one and be a force, or might take a couple of weeks to a bit of time to crack the starting position, but there is no doubt there is talent there to be disruptive when he's ready.

He wasn't who I was hoping for...but...he fills a huge need, and happens to be a day 1 starter with big upside. He's athletic for a 330+ pounder, he is physical and tough, has a very good bull rush.

The bull rush collapses pockets and allows your pass rushers opportunities to make plays, a force multiplier. He will be stout immediately against the inside run, and I'd imagine be pretty good against the tush push down the line.

I see him as our Michael Pierce more than Dexter Lawrence. Baltimore always had these guys clogging the middle and pushing iOL pocket backwards. I've wanted this type of talent for over a decade. We haven't had a guy like this, and he has upside to be better. Weaver will build him up and develop him into a stud.

Could we have worked the board better? Probably....but they decided to get their guy instead of risk losing him if we traded back too far.

Other-take the best player available. In my opinion that was Tyler Warren.
