Injury analysis: Miami has a sizable injury report for Week 1. The biggest absence is for Wheeler, a starting outside linebacker. He practiced some during the week but was ruled out Friday. The Dolphins, who already have issues at linebacker, will have to look at backup options such as Jason Trusnik, McCain or Jelani Jenkins.

Trust me Mr. Walker that anyone that takes his place will be an improvement!

Yeah the "biggest absence" might be a good thing...

Who is worse? The bad linebacker or the bad linebacker's backup?

I don't like any of the three back ups for this game. Brady will lock on any of them, as he will punish Wilson too. Mccain is too new to face a Brady led offense, and Jenkins is not too far from Mccain. Trusnick would probably be the best for this game.

Gonna be up to the defensive line to get to Brady quick enough.. Key to this game now..

The key is attacking Mankins replacement. Getting to Brady and sacking him hard(even if means a PF or two) through out the game (especially in the first an fourth quarter is the key.
Once he is limping on his already bad ankle, they will have issues of their own.
Their running game worries me more in this game.

Wheeler sucks, but for Week One, I would prefer he is out there opposed to Trusnik.

I do want to see more Jenkins anyway.

im sitting here trying to figure out some sort of positive on this for wheeler. like...he's out, rookies play well, threaten his playing time and he comes back and really gets after it. but then i remember he's philip wheeler, and he does care and does try and does want to play, he just sucks.

Trusnik is the slowest human being alive, including my 84 ys old grandma.

The bad coach that doesn't replace the bad linebacker with his better backup...

The thing is how are we sure the backup is better? Sometimes its like the backup QB, everyone wants him to play when the starter struggles. The backup plays and then its like oh now we see why he is not starting.

I'm actually a lot more concerned about Wilson getting beat than whatever LB is in place of Wheeler. At least if a LB gets beat there's safeties behind him. When Wilson gets beat he give the WR a high five as he heads for 6.
