Ross has some serious flaws as an owner. He falls in love with his. "Football Guys" because he has no football knowledge himself. He seems to receive all his info from close confidants like Carl Peterson and latches on to the people they recommend.

The way he spoke of Philbin yesterday scared me. This is a guy who isn't looking at what's best for the team, he becomes enamored with his people, and doesn't make necessary move to better our situation.

He doesn't understand that sometimes a clean sweep is the best way to solve a problem. A half measure of firing Ireland and keeping Philbin would set this team back another 3 years. That is my worst nightmare, and I think it will become a reality.

Ross is loyal to a fault to his football guys, and the football guys take advantage of that by catering to his ignorance on football matters.

I disagree, I think if the rest of the season goes like I think it will, he won't have much choice but to make sweeping changes.

No, he will make changes once he sees this team is hitting him where it hurts...the wallet. The attendance at the Chargers game will tell you everything you need to know.

But it has been hitting his wallet for years, and he still stuck by Ireland...

And maybe this panel of experts he has hired will put some sense into his head.

There will be changes. I would be shocked if both Philbin and Ireland are kept once this investigation is over.

Couple that with the demoralizing and embarrassing loss on Monday night, it's a matter of when, not IF.

This team won't lose a shred of this negativity until it's current form is erased.

Yeah I'm worried about the same thing Skape. Ross is a ****ing moron when it comes to football people and football decisions.

Agree. It's gotten to a point where he has to do something. Not a fan of kneejerk reactions ... regardless of how I post sometimes ... but this would be a good time for someone like Ross to knuckle under to public opinion.

I think Ross wants to be liked. So he'll do something, and it might just be to clean house, because this group of front office people, coaches and players have caused him a lot of unnecessary headaches. A sports team is like a toy to guys like Ross and the last thing they want is it to become what this mess has turned into.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I heard his presser yesterday. Man, I miss Joe Robbie! Huizenga and Ross have completely blown as owners.

If you want changes from the top down, boycott the team. Even if you got tickets, don't show up.

He knows he has to make a change. No one in their right mind will buy tickets next year if Ireland is still there.

I'm worried about that also. I brought this up in previous years...and unfortunately, I was right. I am not so sure this year. I think last night finished Ireland off. I am not so sure about Philbin, and keeping him would be a mistake.

ROSS IS THE DAMN PROBLEM!! I agree with OP... this fool can't see that he, himself, is what's fundamentally wrong with this franchise. he needs to sell and leave.

I don't think changing GMs is what most fans are looking for. They want major changes. That means with people you do see. And that means the head coach. The casual fan probably doesn't even know who Ireland is.
