That mcmicheal would say he wants Gus to be the guy and then crap the bed like that on Saturday and make him look so bad. I think mcmicheal should say something in those regards or play this week with some authority. If anyone needs bashing, it is him. BTW, isnt he up for beating his wife again? I wonder if his mind is even on football.

He needs to be more consistent if he wants to be viewed as a leader.

Also, remember that McMichael is considered a part of the weak o-line too. So in that regard, he is mediocre as a blocker.

i do not think he is a mediocre blocker, ive seen him kill people blocking, but he obviously did not play very well at all and was a lot of the problems we were having. I just wish he would say something in those regards or make it up this week by showing something instead of looking like a lost rookie. I know its preseason and it doesnt really count, but he needs to say something one way or the other.

mc never said he wants gus to be the guy. he never said that. what you read is a head line and a quote from mc that would lead you believe that. really it was just shabby journalism by a writer that doesn't care.

in MC's press conference, he was asked "are you satisfied with gus as the starter" and responded "i have to be satisfied because he's the guy. thats the guy that we have to rally around."

that is verbatum. not cut up to represent what an editor wants a headline to portray. otherwise there really isn't a story in that.

McMike did not drop the balls on purpose but the question may be: Is he now too rich? He hasn't done much this pre-season. He is starting to remind me of the rich player instead of the hungry player.

He is part of an o-line that is ranked at the bottom. He is a part of the problem and his blocking isn't that good...IMO he takes plays off.
Luckily he is a playmaker and that is what saves him.

yeah, I saw that too.

But I've seen it more than a few times where he whiffs on a block.

How many games has he played in where he sucked really bad like he did last week? It was a disaster don't get me wrong, but come on don't bash on him for just this one game. Hey at leat he admitted that that it was all his fault. He could have been like Leon from the Bud commercial and blamed it on the whole team.
