Between McCoy and Philbin, I definitely think that Philbin is the right choice. I like his offensive style alot better than what I have seen in Denver. I know I have been one of the most outspoken against Ireland, but he got this one right. Maybe things are starting to take a turn for the better.:hclap:

I think they got it right also.

I even like Philbin better than Fisher. Fisher was average in TN. Hopefully Philbin will be better than average. His offenses have been awesome in GB for five years. That says a lot to me.

GO PHINS~!

We need an explosive offense. Philbin developed gameplans and helped build one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL so its a great pick in my mind.

Well in reality we dont know whose choice philben was. We can only assume no matter what it was the guy Ross liked but Ireland may have wanted mcCoy

Over 80% of this forum wanted Henne gone; ditto Henning last year and 100% on Columbo this season; over 90% of polls on Broncos Country wanted Orton gone; At this point over 50% of Denver posters have given up on Tebow; I'd say approximately 85-90% of TGG wanted Little Schotty gone. Generally getting a pulse on other team's forums yields a reasonably accurate assessment and lay of the land by actual fans who live and die with their team and rarely miss a snap.

It was hard for me to get behind McCoy considering the widespread disdain for him on several Broncos boards, and an eagerness to see him gone. After JJ brought Wanny in I checked with Bears newsgroup and about 95% of them passionately informed that we were in for a rough ride. Compare that to the almost universal praise for Philbin and reluctance to lose him on the GB forums.

Over the years I've observed that the collective wisdom of diehard fans prove correct much more frequently than not. IMO it's the most emphatic case of "post purchase reinforcement" for our Fins.

Philbin was at the top of my list as soon as Sparano was fired so obviously I am ecstatic. This is a very good hire with the potential to be the turning point this organization has been sorely in need of. It's way to early to see how the potential of this plays out but for today, a step in the right direction. For the first time in a long, long time I am excited to see what tomorrow brings.

“We are thrilled to have Joe Philbin join the Miami Dolphins as our head coach,” stated Ross. “Joe has all the attributes that we were looking for when we started this process. Jeff Ireland and I felt Joe was the right choice to bring the Dolphins back to the success we enjoyed in the past.

Are we ever going to take these guys at their words, or always going to believe what ever junk the media wants to trump up?

It has to be taken with a grain of salt, because the fact is, even if Ireland and Ross disagreed, they would never come out and say so.

What is he supposed to say, ireland wanted McCoy and I wanted Philben so since I own the team I took my guy. Its not unreasonable to think they did not agree who should be the coach. Lets not act like they always say exactly the truth geesh. I mean did they come out and say I really wanted Jeff Fisher over all ofng these guys but since we could not agree on parameters of power we instead took our second choice Philben. Lets examine the falsehoods about last year when they went after harbaugh when they insisted that they were not pursuing harbaugh and was just talking to him. Neither of these guys have built up any kind of reputation that makes me believe half of what they say

it sure feels good to be a PHINS fan today. There's a lot more hope, and positive feelings today than there has been in a long time around here.
