I heard Parcells loves him and he had so much hope for him when he drafted him in Dallas from Virginia!!! Parcells was studying him at the combine and loves his tactics...I say that is the prize Free agent we land..

Dont be surprised if Billy also gets Tank Johnson to play NT

DE- Kendall Langford/ Phillip Merling

I think Parcells will pick apart the Cowboys again. I know Canty is a FA, but I wonder who else is a FA on that list.
 
I am not so sure about Tank Johnson. Character issues.

i dont think we will be able to draft James Laurinaitis or Brian Cushing or Rey Mauluga. all 3 should be gone by the time we draft. but i would love to have rey mauluga. HE IS A BEAST!!!

Sorry to shoot down your wet dreams but we didn't pick Merling in the First round to back up Langford. He will be starting in the strongside opposite of Lanford so you can also shoot down Canty as well. Tank Johnson is just a failed experiment at NT for dallas due to his size which is a better fit for a 4-3 defense. Bart Scott could come in for us but only to compete with the current roster or Akin's spot; however, our first round pick will not be a linebacker but most likely a player that can play Nose Tackle.

My point exactly. Jones brought him in. Not Parcells. I don't think anyone outside of Jones and Parcells know which of the two was responsible for getting Johnson.
 
Generally, I'm not a big fan of huge FA signings. Very often they fail to live up to their salary slot and cause problems. But, as an avid UVa fan, I've really been impressed with Canty forever, and I think he'd be a fantastic addition to the Dolphins.
 
Since there are no Guards or Centers that carry a 1st Round grade right now, the Dolphins should go for the best pass-rushing OLB available with the 1st pick. If not, then they can sure up the secondary with a FS. If Terrell Suggs becomes a free agent, they should jump on him the same way they jumped on Justin Smiley last year.
