Move this if you want, but I have to say it. Madden, Gifford and the producers' desperate search for a subplot within the game are unbearable. If I have to see one more replay of freeny vs pace with madden yapping away about "the spin move: again, I'm going to freakin snap!!!!!!!!
 
It's gotten to the point that I can't watch MNF anymore. They do all these fancy graphics, and lose sight of the fact that the actual game should be the focus. Nothing they have to say is worth missing plays over.

Also, the commercials are ridiculous. I bet they could fit 7 commercials in a 9 play drive. It's gotten to the point where you just can't stay up and watch MNF unless it's for your team because it's just too late.
 
Every week, it's like watching football for Dummies! I keep thinking that the whole package want sto attract my mother as a viewer, rather than me -- the loyal football fan. It's sports to the lowest common denominator

It's Al Michaels. Frank Gifford has been gone for years now.
 
Well...its the last year for Monday night Football on ABC and I'm kinda glad.

The only thing that sucked is we wernt on it.Next year ESPN has Monday night Football.
 
what? you mean they actually highlighted the game's best position matchup and showed the fans what's going on? that's absurd

spoonfed? what are you talking about? they highlighted freeney vs. pace. what's so spoonfed about that? showing matchups in the game is spoonfeeding the public? :lol: i guess they might as well not show the game, cause that makes it too easy
 
Highlighted? please. They replayed the matchup after every single play, with madden making the exact same "spin move" comment each time. Alright already! If that's your subplot, then go back to it when something changes. But it beats Madden finding someone in the cows with a mustard stain, and then giving us a play by play on how to properly eat a hot dog.
 
he made the "spin move" comment because freeney kept making the same "spin move" to no avail. obviously the people can see what's going on, but the commentators are going to narrate the actions on the screen. if the game was on ANY other channel being broadcasted with ANY other commentators, they would highlight freeney vs. pace
