No matter where I go, there I am.
How many threads here on the Jets....now how many on the Chiefs. If the team is doing anything like what we are doing right now, week 17 won't matter for anything because we'll be out of contention anyway.

One week at a time kids, one week at a time. The Jets don't even EXIST until we win in KC first.
 
i really don't think the team is overlooking the Chiefs...Sparano won't allow that...i noticed while watching the video of their locker room celebration after the 2nd Bills game that after Coach Sparano finished his talk...one of the players can be heard saying on to the 49ers...so that tells me this team is focused on 1 game at a time...
 
i have no worries about overlooking anyone. however that doesn't mean a win is guaranteed against KC.
 
I would hope so. God knows our coaches have gotten more out of this team than anyone expected.

But that being said, aren't fans also selling themselves short when they ignore this week for next week? Seriously, there's only a few weeks left in the football season. Hopefully we get an extra week by making it into the Playoffs, but reasonably, that's it. then it's no more Phins games until the summer. Personally, I'm going to try to focus on each game because I don't want to miss any of this.

i know what you mean...this team certainly has given us the fans one hell of a ride this year,and i'm soooo damnnnn proud of them....:up:...:wink:...:woot:
 
That and all the bitchin' I am hearing about how the weather will be too cold at Kansas City. Stop being a bunch of sissies!!!!
 
well..now that you mention it. I think I read somewhere that Sparano decides on how much he needs to prepare for a team based on the general feeling of fans on message boards. :rolleyes:
Did we really need another thread telling fans to not look ahead?
First of all there has already been a thousand. Second it has no impact on the game if I want to look past as many opponents as I want.
 
Question about the playoffs. Lets say NE loses this week to the Cards. One team that may be able to out score them. Say we lose to KC this week. Would our game vs. the Jets still be for playoffs?
 
Well, if our players are looking ahead to the Jets game then we'll lose to the Chiefs and be knocked out of the playoffs. It's that simple. We'll probably make Chiefs QB Tyler Thigpen look like Dan Marino in his prime.
 
we're not gonna give it our all, i would imagine the offense has another poor showing and has the defense bail them out again.. we still win, it's the chiefs and we're the phins...
it's gonna be a close game

it's obvious, the reason for an abundance of Jets threads, the chiefs game is not marquee by any means... the jets game is for the division title...

i actually think the jets lose to the seahawks this week, it's holgrems last game and seahawks played the phins and pats extremly tough, both are better teams than the jets...

we still have to beat the jets for the title though, even if they lose this week, otherwise the pats get in...
shouldn't be a problem, jets look awful right now
 
Every year our Dolphins have to play in cold games in the northeastern United States, so why do people seem to think our players have no clue as to what cold weather is like??

There is no way with two games left in the season, and needing to win both, that the players are looking past anybody. We have been in playoff mode for a few games now and they know there is no tommorow without a win today. I don't believe in the "trap game" theory at this point in the year. I would sure as hell rather be playing the Chiefs this week than the Steelers or Titans.

I'm certain they are based on what they've already been able to accomplish year!
 
It's a 60 minute football game, go and play a smart, tough, and disciplined game regardless of the elements and see what happens. No turnovers, no dropped passes and no stupid costly penalties
