I dont like him. Can anyone name the last Florida \guy to be a good consistent WR in the NFL. I remember a ton of them that were supposed to be good but never lived up to expectations. They are system players and not good pros. The same goes with Florida QB see; Grossman,Palmer
Here are some WR that were ranked high and were predicted to have good careers.

1st round picks
78' #3 Wes Chandler--Saints--12 year career -3/1000 yard season-56TD
87' #27 Ricky Nattiel--Broncos--6 years--630 yards biggest season-8 TD
97' #7 Ike Hilliard--Giants--12 years--996 yards biggest year--35 TD
97' #16 Riedel Anthony--5 years/retired--708 biggest year--16 TD
00' #10 Travis Taylor--8 years--869 biggest--22 TD

2nd round
81' #37 Collinsworth--8 years--4/1000 yard seasons--36 TD
98' #34 jaczuez Green--5 years--791 biggest--7 TD
02' #33 Jabar Gaffney--7 years--632 biggest year--15 TD
02' #48 Reche Caldwell--6 years-760 yds--11 TD
03 #44 Taylor Jacobs--6 years--178 yds--2 TD
06 #36 Chad Jackson--4 years--171 yards for career--3 TD

3rd round
94' Willie Jackson--9 years --24 TD--1046 biggest recieving year
74' Nat Moore--13-years--74 TD--840 most yards recieving in a year
91' Ernie Mills--9 years--679 yards biggest year--20 TD
99' Travis McGriff--2 years/ retired 2000--88 yards/1 TD for career
08' Andre Caldwell--78 yards/0 TD last year
00' Darrell Jackson--9 year--51 TD--3/1000 yard season

Anyways sorry its long but my point is Florida WR usually dont pan out. They are always ovehyped. There are 17 Florida Gator WR that have been drafted in the top 3 rounds. Out of the 17 four of them were able to put up a 1000 yard season-Darrell Jackson-3, Willie Jackson had 1 and other than that his biggest season was 589 yards. He only had 3641 yards for his career. Collinsworth-4, Wes Chandler -3. 1 Florida Wr since 1994 has had a 1000 yard season. The average is really 2-3 TD per year if that. And I know that Harvin isnt them but he is a system player. He is versatile but he is a diva. I dont think he will be a good NFL WR. If we want someone like this take Pat White at least he can throw. But if I were to take a WR in round 1 i would grab, Nicks , Bey, or Britt. There are players on day 2 that will put up the same numbers as Harvin. I hope and pray the Jets take him. Harvin will never be a #1 and might not ever make it to #2. Hes fast. Thats it. But so is Ginn. Ginn and Harvin were the same players in college . I dont see any difference in the 2.

While that information is true, harvin is of a different breed, many compare him to ginn (and if you mean a home run threat than i agree). But hes more of an ankle breaker, game breaker. He would be an awesome element to add to our offense, though my main concern is his character, which I think we can contain. Won't matter tho he will be long gone before #25 and who ever gets him will be lucky because he can change the game, he is nothing like past UF recievers.

If Harvin falls to our 2A pick I hope we take him.

He is immediately our kick returner while he can learn how to be an NFL receiver. We can throw him the ball, we can hand him the ball. Either way, he has gamebreaker ability and that's something that all teams need.

Of course if we draft a WR at 25 this wont matter cause we wouldn't be taking him if he fell there.

Harvin is a skill guy that can do some pretty incredible things on the field. Much like Ginn, you can't deny the obvious athlete in him. Our offense would have yet another creative weapon to use.

Do i want him to be the guy? No.

Would I be upset with it? No.

We are talking football, SEC is a stgrong conference for defense and he made alot of defenses look bad, i just hope he can hold up physically in the NFL, he was a little banged up in college but when he is healthy there is no better exciting player in college football than Harvin, the Gators don't get an opportunity to win a Championship without Percy in my opinion.

I don't compare him to Ginn Jr. , Percy is different, he is much stronger than Ginn Jr. and more powerful than Ginn Jr. , this guy is more of an ankle breaker like a reggie Bush, he would be an exciting return man and would get alot of touches on offense, i can see Penninton utilizing his talents in a big way, I like him.

Doesn't he have a foot injury of some kind? And just HOW MUCH does he like pot? Does MIAMI need its new #1 WR to start getting suspended?

I was totally disappointed when we drafted Jason Allen at #16. I will puke if we waste a 1st round draft choice on this guy. His character will derail him if he got 1st round money. Pacman Jones waiting to happen.
