I hope we draft a lot of high floor guys

Not going to happen. Hill will be gone. Chubb will be gone. They have 29 free agents. They're currently 30 million over the cap. They played against a fairly weak schedule in 2025. Projected to be the 2nd toughest schedule in 2026.

So a very young team with a new coaching staff playing against a brutal schedule. If they win 6 games I would see that as a small miracle.
Fans will be calling for the heads of the Gm and HC if we only win 6 games. They will be better than that. A new head coach is typically worth like 5 more wins the first year.

This is true. They all win the press conference. To those that think we will have a top 5 pick next year I would think again. This regime can’t afford a bad season. The fans are already calling for their head and it’s the first week.
To be fair, if Miami landed Harbaugh fans would still be pissed. Its a no win situation. All we can do is hope we struck gold with Sully and Hafley.

Evidently Bain dropped a lot of weight (still looks a little doughy in some regards)

You always got to worry about guys like that getting paid and letting their bodies go.

He’s a physical player though that’s for sure. Those short arms but a power player for sure.

Might be a little underrated too with the get off and ability to turn the corner and flatten. I can’t really speak to the flatten part with him haven’t paid that much attention but that makes a big difference with edge.
If he is considered "Smallish Edge", we already have one of those. McGrier's favorite.

The short height, ability to get low and sheer power help him bend the corner much more than his agility.

He's not the type to run parellel to the ground around the OT like Wake used to.

He's more a dip under the block, close the gap (short arms) and elbow them on the back type of edge rusher around the corner.

Still very effective. He's always in the backfield.

Any fan who doesn't understand the situation the team is currently in only has themselves to blame for their crazy expectations. This is a similar situation to 2019, and fans need to understand that.

I think it would be smart to trade Achane and waddle for 27 picks. Word is that we turned down a 27 first from Buffalo for waddle because we wanted a 26 first
So you want them to trade the only two legit weapons they have on offense but expect them to be better? If they trade those two then you're looking at a 1 or 2 win season.

5 more wins? 12-5 here we come I guess. Lol

I hope you're right, but I doubt it.

I give most fans credit. They know it is a rebuild situation and will not be a winning season. Hopefully not as drastic as 2019, but a rebuild nonetheless.

I will politley disagree. This early in the burn down process I would go for high ceiling / low floor guys over the opposite.

What honestly could go wrong? We stay terrible? If we get lucky we find some true stars, if not we are still in line for a top 5 pick the following season.

If we were truely close I could see going with safe 'plug the roster hole' type players but not yet.

Delane will be there, immediate day one starter and will be a probowler through his career, plus CBs are $$$. It's a no brainer.

Start drafting guys with proven production, guys who you have seen play on the highest stages or biggest games and produced. No more projects with injury history! Proven production at high level or in high stakes games. Guys who when you turn on their tape you say "oh yeah, that projects to the league or that will play on Sunday's".

Unless we start trading guys for picks, we’ll probably compete for a wild card.

Did this guy really just say we'll be competing for a wildcard this upcoming season?

Wow.

I'll have some of what you're having.

Right but that doesn’t mean we’ll be 4-13 either
