I know many other Dolphin fans have to feel the same way. After 30 years of being a loyal Dolphins supporter it is getting harder and harder being a Dolphins fan. I know I will hang in there but the stress of living, eating and breathing Dolphins football is taking it's toll. What are some of your feelings???

I was once this way, but in the last couple/three years I just realized that if you let these things affect your life, you will be miserable. I suppose if and when we ever get into the mix of things like the playoffs I'll start biting my nails and pacing the floor on gameday. Although I still want the fins to win, I have a lot of apathy when watching these games. Even when they win, I realize that they are still below .500 and not a snowball's chance in hell they will make the playoffs. Like I said, if and when they start becoming real contenders, I might just watch the games with something more than passing curiosity.

In other words....We all are becoming "Cardinal Fan" :fire:

I feel the same way. I have been a Dolphins fan my whole life but find it harder and harder to root for them. We haven't been to the playoffs in like what 6 years now. I live in PA and years ago during the glory days of Shula and Marino I got to see the fins on tv alot. Now I never get to see them unless they are on sunday night or monday night.

Yeah..

We might become cardfans type & there is no shame on it, we have been cheering for a team that is becoming a cardteam type. We are not the problem, we are there, the one to be ashame ,should be the players. We know & the players know which players should be seriously ashame of been a Dolphin.

Having grown up with the horror of being a Cardinals fan in St. Louis (before they moved to AZ), I still believe strongly in this Dolphins franchise. Ownership is the key, the Cards have the worst owner in the league; Bill Bidwell.

We have a rich tradition and winning heritage, the Fins should not even be mentioned in the same paragraph as the Cards. You should be ashamed of yourself. Have the last 5 years been difficult? Yes, but at least we are seriously close to contending and have reason for hope, year after year. To be a Cardinals fan is to have NO HOPE, EVER. I know, I grew up in St. Louis, our pain here is NOTHING compared to being a Cardinal fan, NOTHING.

You should be drawn and quartered, tarred and feathered, run out of town, beaten with a rubber hose, may the bird of paradise poop on your birthday cake for even THINKING about the Fins and Cardinals in the same sentence!!!

Just pretend that this team is being "group-coached" by Jimmie the Quitter, Dave the Clueless, and the Sabanator because... there all the same. Defensive guys that are lost when it comes to offense. So that's the recipe: lump them all together pour into a greased pan and bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 2 hours, you should have a good "I'm free, I've lost interest, meal".

Been a fan since 1970-36 years. I used to get all worked up but I am able to shake off getting beat by just moving on. There's too much in life to just worry about football.
Out of the playoffs by mid-season sucks and I look to the future and hope for the glory again but reality smacks me in the face and I think of other things.
Just to let you know I am also a Pirate fan, so losing with the Phins isn't so bad.

I agree. I have about 20 some odd years in as a die hard and just kept asking, "why do I watch this crap year after year with this team?" It is unbelievable how the personnel can change, but the results are ALWAYS the same. Uncanny! I am waiting for the newswire to come out that Harrington had the Flu or Ebola or something yesterday. He was AWFUL!!!

I find that indifference helps. They've disappointed me every year now since I was a 10 or so. I'm sure though I'll buy into the hype again next season. I'm like a woman that keeps going back to an abusive husband or something.

I've bled aqua and orange since 1974, so I'm right there with ya. Seems only a true Dolfan knows what it's like. It's not the losing that hurts. It's the way that we lose. It's the lofty expectations EVERY year that are never met. It's the plays that every other team seems to make, but we can not. It's the fact that when our defense is rock solid, our offense always seems to find a way to help our opponent score points. It's the fact that when our offense shows up, our defense goes home. It's the fact that it's the same every year no matter who the coach is our who is behind center. It's the fact that despite all of this, there we are, every week actually believing in this team.

Now, my 13 year old son has somehow joined our ranks. I have tried to warn him, but to no avail. Oh well, at least it gives me a chance to ***** and moan to an actual person. The wife and dog are no where to be found on Sundays anymore.

Sorry so long, but that felt good to get off my chest. With all of that said, I will be right there Christmas night, with my son, wearing my Zach Thomas jersey and "rose colored glasses", cheering on the team that I love to hate, and hoping like heck that they KICK THE F###### CRAP OUT OF THOSE PIECE OF S### JETS.

Im wit cha. The Phins affect me entirely too much. They stress me out to the point where it shows at work, at home. People tell me "Relax, it's only a game." I wish.
