How can a team be SO bad at this??? If someone mixed the names of every draft eligible college football player into a hat and we picked them out 1 by 1 randomly and made that person our pick we could have done better than this. Yeah, been said a million times, but seriously 1 starter left on the team from 2 drafts that happened onl 4 and 5 years ago is just AWFUL.

Randy Starks as well. He was signed in '09, as far as drafts go, yeah they were bad.

Quick check shows the Patriots have only two players from those drafts, Jarod Mayo and Sebastian vollmer. And when the Jets release Sanchez, which will be soon they will have noone from those drafts. And to round out the division the Bills have 3 players Leotis McKelvin, Eric Wood and Stevie Johnson.

certainly horrible, but devil's advocate here, the average career is what 3 or 4 years in the nfl? you're talking about a draft that was now approaching 6 years ago. So since most of those players were average, they should be out of the league. And since we know Bill and jeff drafted average or below average players.... Finally math wise.... the draft has approx 260ish players, and the league only has nearly 1700 players on all the teams opening day rosters... 6 years of draft alone brings in nearly 1600 new players. or enough to completely turn over the league completely.

Just for further info... a look back at the turnover rate in the nfl from 2009-2011...

A few numbers within the numbers:
•Five players who started for Seattle in Week 17 of the 2009 season remain with the team. Cleveland (six), Buffalo (seven), Carolina (eight), Washington (eight) and New Orleans (eight) are the only other teams with fewer than 10. The Saints were an exception because they rested some starters in that final game.
•Seattle (five), Detroit (five), St. Louis (five) and Baltimore (six) have the fewest backups from 2009 Week 17 remaining on their rosters. Philadelphia (seven) and Washington (seven) were not far behind.
•The most consistently strong teams over the past few years naturally rank near the bottom in turnover. They've had good players, for the most part, and kept a lot of them.

The chart below breaks down the new players by team. By new players, I mean those who weren't on the 53-man roster or injured reserve in Week 17 of the 2009 season.

Just curious? How can someone change my post from buttfumble to "buttfumble" and then fix it so I can't correct it? OK I see you can't type Mark's last name without it automaticlly changing it. That's odd.

Unfortunately, **** happens.

Fortunately, that **** is no longer employed by the Miami Dolphins :D
