I know everyones not too happy about Matt Moore...can someone fill me in on him?

I know everyones not real happy/excited about Matt Moore and i can see why but he is currently on our roster and we may not bring in anyone else (although i think we will).

Does anybody here think he could beat out Chad Henne?

Anybody here watch enough of him when he was in Carolina to fairly evaluate him? I refuse to make conclusions on players based on youtube highlights, you can only judge so much from watching those. I never really watched much of Matt Moore, my uncle lives in NC and is a panthers fan but i havent talked to him yet, when i do i will ask him his opinion of Moore too.

And if you have watched Moore..

How accurate is he? Hows his arm? Decision making? leadership ability? give me anything you know about him...


Someone with knowledge of him please fill me in. I know he looked decent 2 years ago but sh*t the bed last year, it could have been Steve Smith being hurt and their o-line wasnt that good, maybe he just sucks in general? idk, i would just like to hear other peoples opinions on him.

And please dont just answer "he sucks", if you do think so please tell me what it is that makes him suck. Because as of right now my opinion of him is that he really isnt an upgrade over Henne but id like to know what it is that makes him suck. We all know the things that Chad Henne has problems with (accuracy, staring down receivers, ints etc.). So give me somethin like that.

Ive supported Chad Henne and still hope he can turn things around. I dont have any attachment to him tho and would just love to have a good QB, i dont care who it is as long as they play good football and help us win. It doesnt matter who whether its Henne, Moore or even Devlin i dont give a sh*t as long as they play good.

It would be really nice if Devlin is a diamond in the rough. It would be nice but im not counting on it. Anyone think he can beat out both Henne and Moore? Ive only seen youtube videos of him so once again im not too familiar with him either but i like what ive read and heard about him. He seems to be pretty accurate.

I live in Carolina so I watched him alot....He cannot be judged by his time in Carolina as the 5 starts he had because the receivers were never open. I think he does have potential.

He has a decent skill set and can roll out of the pocket and throw, he is known for his lack of preparation and not taking the game seriously, I heard that on NFLN. He was given the starting job last year after ending the 2009 season on a good roll, he eventually lost the starting job to Clausen because he was abysmal last year throwing 5TD and 10INT. He is no better than Henne and I don't consider him competition, with hassleback, mcnabb, kolb, vince young, orton, t-jackson all being out there and we didnt get any of those guys, instead we brought in matt moore, if we dont end up getting orton I think it's an utter failure because we did not do what we set out to do and that's upgrade the QB position or bring in some SERIOUS competition!

makes me think that next offseason is the year this FO will be going tfor their QB. may be a way for this FO to recieve one more year with miami? who knows what is going on.

Tyler Thygpen is garbage, Matt Moore is special type of crap, the type of crap Rex Ryan takes after eating all that junk food. I can not belive Matt Moore is getting paid more than Henne wow the guy flat out sucks he makes Henne stats look awesome. If we dont get Orton and we already missed out on Vince young. I behind Henne all the way. Moore is another garbage pick up from this front office like Thigpen was last year.
Seriously guy this is how hopeless we are that evry QB that shows up we think its the resurection of Marino let break it to you all its not going to happen this guys get waived and no one claims them because they are just nothing special, If Devlin unseats Henne we r in trouble of Moore unsits henne the season its over. So Im hoping Henne shows up this year with 3000 yrds, 20 Td, 16 INts and that might be enought to win maybe 9 or 10 games.

so that might make sparanos hair fall out..

I know he looked good a few years ago and tanked it last year. However, it is still early in training camp and we need to let the QBs and Receivers spend some time together so the can either get aquanted or reaquanted (pardon my spelling). We have gone through this every year since Marino left. On the bright side this year is the fact Henning is no longer here to muck things up. Let's give our new OC a chance. He is learning these guys as well.

all i know is that in 5 games in 2009 he went 4-1, threw for 8 TDs/2 Ints and had a 98 QB rating. In 2010 he was unimpressive in 5 games..... i wonder which Matt Moore we're going to get... What was the difference between the two years? I don't know. But i do know that if we get the 2009 Matt Moore, he'll beat out Henne and we should have a very solid team. I'm curious hear how he does in camp this week.
