How different would our team be right now if we signed Brees?

What do you think our record would be?

Where would we have gone with the 2nd rounder we lost in the culpepper deal?

Miami would be 0-16(they would be given extra losses)

not only that the United States of America would of been invaded and conquered by Canada and we would all be bowing down to Queen Celine Dion. Thank GOD Miami never signed Brees. I hate Celine Dion.

It is the chaos theory of what would happen if Miami signed Brees. I am working on it for my college thesis. Did you also know that Fish would grow legs and start a war in Pakistan and Saturn would be knocked into Jupitor causing a miniture black hole killing us all in 3,000 years, which also happens to be the same amount of time it takes to finish listening to a Celine Dion album?

There's no way to know. Just because Brees is having success in New Orleans does not mean he would have been successful here. It's very easy for people to sit back and say that we would be 6-5, 7-4 or 8-3 if Saban would have gotten Brees, but there's just no way to know. It's all speculation.

You can't help but think of that scenario.

This organization has made so many mistakes in it's recent past. There's no doubt that we would have been better this year because Brees put to rest any doubts "a certain medical staff" had in his ability to return this year. Not to mention saving that second round pick for a team in desperate need of youth at many positions.

We can only hope for the future now that either Culpepper or Harrington work out to be a good QB going forward.

Agreed!

The better question is what would be right now if Miami had started Joey harrington from week one?

Actually there is a way to know that we would be a better team. Brees is clearly healthy and sharp. While Culpepper clearly was not healthy or ready to play in any way shape or form. Still a theory? Yes, but one with plenty of evidence to prove we would at least have been more competitive to start the year. I don't think anyone could argue that having a healthy and sharp QB to start the year couldn't have brought us at least one more win.

Yes we all need to look forward but there's no reason for anyone to completely forget mistakes that are made.

I don't think this question is so horrible.

As a resident of New Orleans, I think about it literally every day.

I agree, we would have had a healthy QB to start the season, but any way you slice it, it's still speculation as to how much better we would be, or that in the long run Daunte was the wrong choice.

By the way (keep in mind I do like Nick Saban), we did have a healthy QB to start the season, he was just left on the bench.
