I know it's a bit too early and that we still play for something and nobody wants to talk offseason yet but... Does anybody think Maxwell could fetch a 2nd?

He's having a pretty good season. His time in Seattle earned him a mega contract in Philly. He kind of sucked there but was still good enough for us to trade for him and statistically, it was still a pretty good season.

His contract would certainly allow for a trade. He's not making too much for his current level of play but I'd rather start Lippet and Howard and none of the three can play slot.

There's a healthy market for press corners. Could he fetch a second? Would you take it? I would. We have a plethora of potential slot corners, although one of them has yet to stand out positively. I'd go Howard, Lippet, slot corner, back up boundary, back up slot. We could use the cap money. We could use the second rounder as we have many needs to actually become a contender. Thoughts?

I for one am glad we are not talking offseason yet and hope we don't for a long while still, to me it will make the offseason seem a lot shorter then it is

No way Maxwell's trade value is that high. I doubt you could get a 4th round pick.

Keep him..we need all good db's we can get

:bobdole:

Never seen a fan base so eager to replace players. Maybe I just don't know other fan bases that talk about replacing successful WRs and CBs and want to trade away players like their franchise DE.

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the term one bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. In other words we know what we have with Maxwell we have no freakin clue what this front office would do with the extra draft pick...maybe they'll trade it with two other picks for a RB because that seems to make sense to this front office.

They will use it to trade up to something higher the the 32nd overall pick that we will have.

Not a bad idea to trade him but I doubt he's worth a 2nd. More like a 4th imo.

Are we trading our pick for two Dallas Cowboys they no longer want and moving down?

Yeah, he's not fetching a 2nd. Crazy to even bring up trading him tho. The last ten games (before the Jets) he was shutting down every guy he was on. Gase benching him early was the best thing that could've happened. He pulled his head out of his a$$, and has been our best Corner ever since. And he still is.

When Maxwell got hurt this past sunday we had Howard to step right in and did a great job. We need all the good corners we can get. Would I trade him for a 2nd round pick? Yes but nobody's going to offer that(unless ireland's still out there)so keep him and we're set at corner with him, Howard and Lippet. We just need a slot

Ozzy rules!!

we need all the corners when can get, quality depth is a must
