What would the impact be (players lost / cut/ not able to resign) of the Dolphins getting in on and trying to landing a player like Suh.... He is such a beast and game changer in his prime that i would love to better understand the real impact.... Trust me i know this isnt happening

Suh ain't coming here, period. Too much money and hes' a head case for our coach to even consider. Terrence knigton and nick fairly are fair play.

"NO SUH FOR YOU !!!" GET IT ?

He'd have to be able to play QB because with his salary in excess of $60 million for 5 years
we wouldn't have the money to sign/extend Tannehill next season

I would probably think he gets something similar to what Gerald McCoy got with the Bucs.

6 Year / $95 / $51 Guaranteed

Average around $16 a year.

Basically giving a DT a QB salary.

Not 100% on what our current cap situation is but theoretically, cutting (Hartline, Gibson, Ellerbe, Wheeler, Starks, Finnegan, Fields, Garner) opens up around $33 in cap for 2015.

Keep in mind we still have Tannehill franchise deal coming up next year (or his option at $15, franchise deal likely same as Andy Dalton (6 Year / $96 / $17 Guaranteed)), also Pouncey deal (or his option at $7.5, franchise deal likely same as his brothers (5 Year / $44 )).

Just don't see how you afford Suh.

Thank you for ans the question! I didn't say he could get him just wondering what the impact would be....

I don't think we have a chance to get Suh if you go by Vegas.

Right now there is a futures bet on which team Suh will play for in game 1 2015, The Dolphins aren't even a choice.

Lions are the favorite at -120
Raiders are next at +180
Giants come in third at +260
Colts are 4th with +900

Falcons, Jets, Patriots, Titans and Jags are all over 10-1 long shots.

Don't see how the Pats could even be in the conversation because as we speak
they only have $3 million in cap room. I'm aware things could change but thats a whole
lot of cap space needed for Suh.

Falcons- $28.4
Jets-$53.2
Raiders-$59.4
Titans-$42.8
Colts-$39.5
Giants-$16.9
Detroit-$17.5
Jags-$61.5 cap space

Can you imagine if Buffalo managed to get Suh,They wouldn't need a QB

winning games on the foot of Dan Carpenter

I think if you put him next to Mitchell or Odrick with Wake and Vernon on the ends it would be pretty terrifying for tom Brady. I have faith we will find a good DT in the draft though. Hickey seems to have a knack for finding DL talent. A real disruptor like Suh or McCoy would change everything for our D. But as long as he doesn't go to the Bills I am happy. Their D is scary enough as is.

NE was +1600 or 16 to 1. Pretty longshot. Probably included because players are willing to go there and take less to have a chance at championship.
Its almost like a rigged salray cap cuz everyone will play for less in NE.

I already documented many times on here that you can't win kicking FG's no matter how good your defense is.

We could easily afford Suh if we didn't have a 17M albatross around our neck named Mike Wallace. What a pathetic joke he is.

I recall a thread just a few weeks prior to his latest proud achievement debating the merits of Wallace and well over half the folks in that thread liked and supported that alligator armed fraud.

Im not a fan of Hickey but at least he hasnt hung any albatrosses around our neck like Ellerbee or Wallace.
Ddint like the Shelly Smith, Finnagin or mitchell signings but they are not in that category

I'm not sure about Hickey. I agree, we need to avoid those bad contracts that have cost us in the past. So far so good

this year he's just a $12 million ball and chain but probably still too much to move. Trading him would be best case scenario. It's doubtful, but more likely than the light coming on for him
