"The more I play, I think the better I'm going to get," the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback said. "It's all timing. When we get it down, this team is going to be like a wild fire."

"We're not fooling ourselves into thinking we're farther along than we are," Culpepper said. "But we've got the players to have a real good offense."

i think hell be great here, but it takes time. especially when your coming off an injury and your o line is trying to get you injured again

and more importantly I think what he is referring to is that he is still learning this new offense (new to him) and he is still learning his receivers. This almost always takes a while.

The offense isn't new to him. Culpepper's played under Linehan's offense in Minnesota.

imo he's still as bad as he was last week and week one he just didn't throw any interceptions

It's not just an opinion, OurTime, when theres statistical evidence that you are correct. Sometimes you posters find things too, I don't want to say stupid, let's say foolish, to get happy about. What else is Culpepper suppose to tell the media? That no matter how much he tries this is as good as he'll play? That the team is finished for the year? That they suck? Ofcourse he has to make positive statements fellas so please spare me. And let me make some things clear: I don't think we are finished for the season, as a matter of fact, if we can turn this adversity around it'll make us that much stronger come playoff time, but Culpepper, RIGHT NOW, is not the answer. He's not improving. He needs more time to heal in which the OL will have had more time to gel (by the time he is ready to return) and a chance to see what we picked up in Harrington. Why is everyone so afraid of this scenario?

Knee injury hasn't affected Carson Palmer and he had his injury in January.
Let the season play out. No more excuses or micro-analysis.
I have left some sobering posts on other threads and I have been accused of being negative.
Actually I was very high on this team 3 weeks ago and I had predicted an 11 or 12 win season.
Obviously, I've been smacked back down to reality, especially after yesterday. Other than Tennessee and perhaps Houston , Detroit and Green Bay what other team in the league do some of you think the Phins could have beaten yesterday?
I'm not angry or depressed as I'm writing this. I reached a point of acceptance. If the Phins somehow make drastic improvements in the next 2-3 weeks then I will get excited. But for right now unless things change they will struggle beating the Texans at home and they will likely lose to a desperate Pats team (esp if they lose to Cincy) and a rejuvenated Jets team. That would place them at 2-4 and likely with a steep uphill climb to get into playoff contention.

Two different playing styles, and you must've missed the stories about Palmer and his receivers not getting the job done the past couple of weeks.
