I love the Dolphins but I hate my team

Yeah, I think a lot of Dolphin fans have the same feelings you do.

Dolphins fan for 40+ years. I told my wife to gather all my Miami ****, I was going to burn it.

Been a Dolphins fan since I was 4...over 40 years. If I could break away from this team I would have done it long ago. Unfortunately I can't and I call my father every week and blame him for this misery. At least I saw the undefeated season from the Orange Bowl...some of you guys have nothing.

Quick update. No change in my feelings towards the Phins...really starting to feel that this team will not win in the rest of our lifetimes(I know there are members here younger than me)

Welcome to Cubsville

I don't love or hate 'em anymore. Figure that loss should have been crushing but, nah.

Welcome to Cubsville

It definitely feels that way. Being a fan of this team is like volunteering for a 3 hour beating with a phone book every week.

I'm with you. I don't get crushed by losses like that anymore - I've come to expect them.

I agree. Years ago something in my house might have taken a beating, but now apathy has fully set in. Just keep telling myself it is only a game, it is only a game. Win or lose, your life is not going to change.

We'll come up with a big win next week so that we can finish 8-8 again.

this thread title is frakin spot on! I too love them, but hate them... and it's soooo frikin tiring..

my team has no balls

I've tried to stop watching but I get pulled back in. Its like an abusive girlfriend. She slaps you around every other week but the she comes back and promises she loves you.

The problem is our coaches present and past (except Shula) just pop in here - for the job- and just don't have the dolphins in their "blood". Look at phill bins statement via the walker espn blog...Philbin credits the Packers: Miami head coach Joe Philbin failed to beat his former team in his first matchup since joining the Dolphins. Philbin came up the ranks through Green Bay and credited his former team. “I thought Green Bay deserved to win,” Philbin said. “They had more plays in the fourth quarter.” Who credits the other team? it' s like he still is a packer...he hasn't experienced our pain...... He will be gone soon and another will take his place...the next coach should be made to watch the videos of the years of mediocrity and pain we have experienced so he knows we are sick of it!!!!
