Kid is one tough SOB who basically is going to have Junior Seau brain if he has any more seasons like he has had in the sack department and NOBODY is complaining anymore about what EVERYONE was complaining about last year....the deep ball.

Kid improves tremendously on the deep ball and we move onto whatever flavor of the year is next to crucify him....

It sucks being a dolphins fan....can't wait to draft the next qb who will fall into another long line of mediocre qb's in dolphins history because the front office and coaching staffs are clueless. Just goes to show you that all the money can't buy a championship when your owner is just as clueless about who has legitimate football knowledge and who doesn't. Dolphins suck because NOBODY in this franchise has legit football pedigree and Ross can't buy anything more than a few "C" list musicians to be part owners.

The scouting department must be one of the worst in the NFL. The drafts are historically a joke. No ability to groom any talent at any level of the franchise. It's is almost flat out embarrassing being associated as a fan of this franchise.

Maybe this franchise needs to relocate and rebrand itself. Perpetual mediocrity gets old.

Kinda sad isn't it?

He is basically on track to reproduce what he did last year all the while remaining the ability to walk, not sure I'll ever understand how, and he improved the deep ball.

The more you think about it, the more it makes you wonder if the QB isn't truly the problem in Miami...

Nobody is complaining about the deep ball because the offense can't score....last yr if we had the deep ball we would averaged over 20 points a game, this yr through 15 games we have scored more than 20 points in 3 games.......in short, no one is talking about the deep ball because we have more pressing needs.....I don't consider scoring points the flavor of the year

The reason it's not a hot issue is that there are other far more worrying concerns with the QB play, the deep ball was just something everyone picked up on early in his career, it was easy to spot and highlight as something he can clean up.

Don't think for a minute that his deep ball is anywhere near being "fixed", he's thrown so few this season for any evidence of that that is the case. But the glaring issues that still plague him are lack of a football brain and pocket awareness, those things I'm afraid are far more difficult to fix that the deep ball (which as I said there's still not enough evidence that he's fixed.

I'm happy he improved his deep ball but when will he improve his pocket presence and blitz recognition ?

it won't matter as long as he constantly has to fear leaky protection and have no running game to speak of (partially o-line, partially play calling). he is basically 99.999 percent responsible for anything good that ever happens on offense for this team, entirely on his own. can't realistically be done.

Ranked 10th out of 40 QB's in the league. It's easy to throw crap against the wall but you didn't offer anything to make it stick.

Has he improved I can't really say. I think he's completed more passes but he also taking less shots downfield. Also what do we consider deep ball 30+ yards? But main issue is that he doesn't make the big plays due to lack of awareness and yes our oline sucks but he makes bad decisions as well like the INT he threw in end zone. Also on the last drive on 2nd he could have ran in for the TD but he prefered to stay in the pocket. He should have ran he's not a pocket QB he needs to use his legs to be successful.

Pay attention to 2nd goal. Amazed he didn't run:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Deep ball improvement? like that beautiful hail mary he threw way out of bounds at the end of the first half against Baltimore? Dude, please.

It will matter because Tannehill has had subpar oline for years so he has ingrained some pretty bad habits and if we fix the oline those bad habits will still be there.

PREACH!!! Your assessment is spot on! Yes we have Oline issues but his awareness is terrible. On 2nd and goal we had a TD if he would have ran https://youtu.be/pNj7EGk8hT4?t=42m10s

He is 5 of 16 on throws of over 31 yards in the air with 2 TD's

:sidelol:

A hail mary is the easiest pass. Just throw it. You don't aim at anybody, no timing required, just throw it into the endzone. I could handle short or overthrow but 15 yards out of bounds?????

At least Tannehill protected his stats: a sure incompletion over a possible INT.
