I can't remember is a unsigned rookie can be traded, but why not inquire? If anyone knows the restrictions there please let me know. I know if a unsigned rookie remains unsigned till a certain point next year they re-enter the draft.
Any of you attending camp other than Nasty have positive observations of Parker, the kid from the arena league? Any of you observe Eiland, cb?

Parker had a couple of nice pass defenses the other evening but he also got burned thru out practice by Newson, or Gilmore two days before.

IMO he has talent but lacks consistancy so far.

This is incorrect in the case of rookies, remember Houston traded Drew Henson last year.

Didn't SD/Giants not trade Eli/Rivers rights after drafting them? Now you cannot trade a unsigned player who previously was under contract

Why not? Least you can do is inquire. Having Webster and Daniels on the same club would be a nice move don't you think? Do I expect such to happen? Probably not. Thanks Ozzy for the Parker report. I would think a move for a corner is going to have to happen. Are you going to the New Orleans game Ozzy?

I go to all Home games. I'm not much for travel outside the state of Florida.

If a rookie doesn't sign by the 30th day before the regular season starts, neither the rights nor the rookie's contract can be traded in the player's initial year.

If the rookie doesn't sign by the Tuesday after the 10th week of the season he does not play for the year unless he can prove extreme personal hardship.

The rookie can only sign with the Club who drafted him until next year's draft when he can be drafted by any Club except the Club who drafted him last year.

So a rookie could be signed the second year and traded.
