Drunken Sailor
This is actualy a pretty serius post. PokerDuck, if you read this, give me a call. I have not been able to get a hold of you.
Last thursday I noticed a bug bite on my elbow... And I ignored it. As the days went on, the bite got worse and began to swell... I still ignored it, hoping it would go away. That all changed on sunday while watching the game; I woke up on Sunday morning in excruciating pain, my elbow was swelled up to nearly twice its size and nothing; not ice and not heat would bring it down. I tried to get to a walk in clinic since then but they would not accept my insurance. The earliest my Primary Care Physician could not see me until today. I was diagnosed with a Staph Infection; that has been ignored too long and is spreading throughout my arm. I am on three differant antibiotics and alot of pain medication. Since the infection is in the joint, and a staph infection fights off antibiotics very well, it is possible I could be admitted to the hospital and kept on an IV. This is alot serius than I ever thought a staph infection was, I am being told that if this continues to spread, they may have to amputate my arm to stop the infection from spreading to the rest of my body. I am trying to stay positive, but so far this is not looking good. This could be my last game for quite a while:cry:
