Plain and simple the NFL referees HAVE A STRONG DISLIKE of the Dolphins

I live in the DMV area and was delighted to know that the Fins-Pats game would be televised locally for me to see our beloved Dolphins with the "eye test".

I don't give a damn about Heath Evans "predictions" made before the season even started. He reminds me of the bitter ex-girlfriend who you treated good throughout the course of the relationship only to have them become jaded, obnoxious, and overall a big pain in the a__. Does his bitterness of the Dolphins stem from us showing him the door because he didn't perform when his number was called so therefore he becomes scorned and wishes the worst for us?

Now that the pleasantries are out the way onto the real issue at hand......

This is the THIRD let me repeat THIRD game we were victims of highway robbery at the hands of the zebras (NFL referees). In the world of sports games are defined by the "known unknown" i.e ( a missed call, a dropped pass at a crucial juncture of a game, lack of execution, etc.). HOWEVER, what is become very known is the Dolphins falling victim to a bogus call at the hands of the officiating crew.

In the Ravens game without question the O-line had brainfarts of the ultimate degree. Let us not forget that the refs played a vital role in the outcome of that game. I can remember at least 2 instances where the refs didn't call obvious penalties against the Ravens D that hindered the offense from moving the chains. On the other hand the Ravens were bailed out most definitely by SUSPECT calls against our defense.

The Bills game last week I distinctively remember late in the 4th quarter the infamous personal foul roughing the passer. I believe the "culprit" was Odrick (if I'm wrong I stand corrected) which kept the Ravens on the field only for our former kicker extraordinare Dan Carpenter to flip us the bird with the game winning FG for them.

Yesterday just further illustrates that the NFL in general (media, referees, commentators) TAKES GET PRIDE IN CONTINUING TO KICK THE DOLPHINS WHILE THEY'RE DOWN.

I'm not giving up on the season but the numbers game is against us in a major way. It's supposed to be 11 versus 11 on the field of battle whether on offense or defense but when the referees (reinforcements) are in the fold it's never in our favor.

What makes the Ravens & Bills so disheartening and sickening is that WE WERE AT HOME and couldn't get any kind of homecooking/benefit of the doubt whatsoever.

I'm probably in the minority with creating this thread but I cannot take this injustice anymore.

just goes to prove that ross needs to get on his knees and worship the commish if we ever want a fair shake...

personally i feel there were 3 real bad calls yesterday, did they cost us the game? they didnt help, but our team came out of the locker room asleep...they beat themselves worse than the refs ever could...

I'm with you. We should boycott the NFL and quit watching... wish we could.

Miami hasn't been to the Super Bowl in 29 years. They haven't won a playoff game in 13 years. The referees are not the problem.

Refs blow but so does the nuances of coaching that win tight or difficult games. Young players need to be coached. Anyway, blow off steam on Finheaven, works for me as its somewhat therapeutic.

Ghostface, it's definitely tough that the Refs were downright disgusting the past few weeks. I wrote an email to the league, and I'm sure many others did as well. All I want is for the NFL to at the very minimum, even if they refuse to come out an admit it verbally to the media; at the very minimum suspend the refs from this past game Sunday.

It probably wont happen but I agree that something needs to be done.

Everything has been rolling downhill like a big ball of poop since we started 3-0. I can accept losing when the other team outplays us, but it's hard winning games when you also have to beat the refs. One or two bad calls is all it takes to lose a game.

There's no way the NFL wanted NE to lose back to back games. And back to back divisional games? I seriously believe the refs had an agenda. Yesterday's game has really made me wonder about the integrity of the NFL.

I dont think its a conspiracy. There are bad games that we lose on our own (IE Bills and Saints) then there are other that we are struggling but are hanging in there that are determined by bad call (IE Ravens and PATS).

Really close games can be influenced by the officials.

I was with you until the homecooking. We were a victim of the Pats Homecooking and it was expected. We cant expect homecooking and not expect to be a victim of it, I will agree the officials have been gross over the last few games. The league needs to get it huge fanbase teams in the playoff and we play a lot of them this year.

I've been saying for years that the zebras get their marching orders from the league based on which teams the league wants to see in the playoffs because either due to a unique story line or mass media appeal, they will deliver the most interest and therefore generate the most ad revenue. Although told not to make it too blatant, of course some refs have been very flagrant in fulfilling that agenda. As someone in a related thread commented, the league was actually once unsuccessfully sued for being rigged when they in turn argued that all they needed to do was provide entertainment to live up to reasonable expectations or something like that. Might as well bring in Vince McMahon as the next comish because Roger and he are interchangeable at this point.

I can agree that we didn't help matters most but those bogus calls were enough to deflate us mentally.

As opposed to the 3 straight losses we'd just endured, the last one coming against a crappy team for which we had two weeks to prepare. I'm sure that was great for the team's mental condition. Yeah, if only we had better refs... then Miami would be a Super Bowl team!

Winners win, losers copmplain about offciating after they blow 14 point leads. You know how we could have changed the outcome of this game? Made some plays on offense in the 2nd half. I don't know, maybe our 60 Million dollar WR could can get behind the defense once in a blue moon. This team is just not that good. When things gop wrong, into the fetal position they go. This is a 6-10 team with a top 10 pick in April plain and simple. Pick up Cincy's defense ion Fantasy if you can, we LOVE to turn the ball over.

There were far more then just 3 bad calls yesterday, and if the comish can't keep things fair in the NFL, he needs to let go and find someone that will do the job.
