I screamed at Vontae Davis yesterday

I know the Dolphin sighting threads are a little boring, but I thought I would share my story.

I was heading East on Griffin Road (in Davie) towards the turnpike yesterday afternoon. There was a bit of traffic at the intersection @ Nob Hil/Griffin, and out from the Mobil station pulls a smoke-colored brand new Lamborghini convertible with the top down. I was on the phone when I looked up and recognized VD.

I hung up the phone on my girlfriend, put my windows out and started screaming "VONTAE!" trying to get his attention. He pulled across traffic to turn onto Nob Hill and when my light turn green, I pretty much stopped dead stop at the green light and kept screaming to him.

He looked almost frightened and gave me a look like I was completely insane. Made my day, though. He's my favorite Dolphin.

Yeah, thats like the episode of Curb your Enthusiasm when Larry David trips Shaq and ends his season, then everyone in LA hates him.

I'm a Floridian, but my family are Italian New Yorkers who moved their garbage business down to Miami in the 70s-80s. So its very possible he thought I was a crazed Jet fan.

When the Fins played NE in the snowed out game in Foxboro my father and I flew up there to see the game, only to be turned away a mile from the stadium. We bought the tickets as a part of some kind of fan package where you could stay at the player's hotel.

I was on an elevator alone with Dave Wanndstedt and his daughter. If I indirectly injured Vontae and left Wanny alone, that would be very bad for my self conscience.
