Of veteran QBs tonight making a lot of bad passes......just saying

This sounds silly, but it's very true: Pick any decent QB and imagine that it's YOUR QB when watching a game, and you'll be amazed at how much worse they seem. As a fan, we live and die with each play such that bad passes when you have an otherwise open receiver for a big gain or crucial gain, seem so horrific. The truth is, we hold our own QBs to a higher standard. When other QBs miss a few, we just sigh with relief, or figure they're due to miss a few every now and then.

You mean Manning doesn't complete all of his deep passes or have perfect ball placement all the time?

Tannehill had a beautifully thrown deep pass to Sims in the end zone. Dropped. It's a team sport.

It is true though... we often criticize our own QBs way more (along with QBs from rival teams we hate) than the others who we watch leisurely. Just watching both MNF games tonight, you could see plenty of questionable throws from all the QBs. I will say though... I know Eli doesn't have much help, but damn... if he was our QB I could only imagine the flood gates of hell that would open on this forum

Tanny was behind on a few, but I'm giving him a pass on last game - he finished strong and he's adjusting to game speed (vs preseason and practice speed) / seemed to get more in sync as the game went on.

Hartline never would have beaten Revis on the double move, and if he had, he would have tripped over a blade of grass and ate it well before he had a chance to haul the pass in.
