I don't know about a you guys but I am very disappointed in the activity of our new FO.

IMO they have done almost nothing to improve this team. Maybe special teams.

None of the FA's we signed were starters exept perhaps Wilford could be considered a #2 receiver, but IMO, we overpaid him.

I definitely can't prove this but I am getting the impression from the new leadership that what they really beleive is this; that last years debacle in Miami was due almost entirely because of bad decisions made by Mueller and Cam, and now they are going to just come in and slightly tweak things a little and everything is going to be just fine and dandy, because they are so great.

I don't like the attitude and the deafening silence coming from our FO.

We still have more cap money than we can begin to spend at this stage of the game. Why didn't we deal with any need positions other than backup QB? Again I don't see mister 4.8 forty as the answer at WR.

We can surely afford to eat some dead cap if we have to, there is plenty of room. Why aren't some of the veteran players like Holiday on the block.

He is a much better fit for a 4-3 and he is up there in age but still talented and young enough to garner a pick. Why isn't he being shopped vigoursly?

Matt Roth isn't going to fit the pure 3-4 at all. Why isn't he being vigoursly shopped? There isn't even a significant cap hit here.

Zach gone for nothing. There was nothing creative that could have been done to get some value for him?

It looks like these guys think its just going to happen because of their lofty precense.

I'm not impressed with what has happened and I'm even more disappointed with what hasn't happened.

Looks to me like they have already written this year off and aren't even going to try for a winning record.

What do you think?

Sorry for the negativity, I know it bothers some of you rah rah guys, but I care about this team very much and I'm not getting the same kind of vibe from Dolphin leadership.

What do you honestly think we could get for V.Holliday, a 5th/6th, isn't he worth more to us right now.
Same with M.Roth, he's done nothing to deserve getting a good pick back.
Z.Thomas is older and coming off a concussion, if we had held onto him (like Culpepper) trying to make a deal everyone would say were treating ZT like crap after all he's done for this franchise. Releasing him early was the respectful thing to do and allow him to pursue a contract somewhere else.
I don't know what you expect the FO to do, sign every overpriced FA to look good on paper. We added much needed depth to alot of positions, we corrected a MAJOR flaw on this team that being special teams. That alone puts more points on the board because of a field position advantage and helps our defense pinning the opposing team deep. Football is won 98% of the time when you win two of the three parts of football (Offense/Defense/Special Teams). The only variable that throws a wrench in that is turnovers.
With a great draft and the development of our younger guys returning we'll be alot better then people think. Slow and steady means long term success not a flash in the pan like some other teams have done.

I thought you wanted tosee improvement in the team, Please don't use the improvement word loosely, this team was soft last year and with the people that was brought in are in most part special teamers, which might not signal a big FA splash to you but once you see Ted Ginn take it to the house I imagine you'll come around. This whole team has changed from management to players so be patient let the stew cook for awhile, it took 8 years to brew this mess and you want to correct it in one season, glad you're not my boss LOL.

a 6th round or seventh round is just like having undrafted personnel attending camp. and beside getting rid of holiday really weakens this team, who are you going to replace him with? another rookie?

there are like a dozen things i could write to argue with this.... but instead i will just point out that smiley is going to be a starter

We shall see.I think your mindset is somewhat understandable but its way too early in the game to know what we are doing. I do wish we could have looked at some special teamers that actually can play a position decent. I'm definately not going to label our fo geniuses yet but I am to this point taking a wait and see approch. I do wish we added some depth to OL , Wr and CB.
The one thing I did not like in free agency was trying to sign Calvin pace to an idiotic contract, luckily the Jets saved us from ourselves.

Slightly tweak things?????????????????????

Are you kidding me? Did you see the list of cuts we made? It was over 1/3 of the team.

And we picked up way more than 1 started in FA. Did you forget about Reggie Torbor, Randy Starks, Justin Smiley, Jason Ferguson?

I could go on and on but see no point

I see what your saying, but who were we going to sign? what big name player would we sign? we tried to get fitz, pace, and looked into shaun rogers. we arent going out and spending alot of money. do you want us to be like the jets? risk the future for now. honestly with all the moves the jets made, are they ready to compete with the patriots, colts, or chargers? The answer is no! they were 4-12... miami at 1-15 would be dumb not to load up on players with hunger. young guys that want to make a name for themselves. people like keith davis, and tab perry come to mind when I think of it. you build through the draft not through free agency, or do you want to be like them same ol' dolphins. The ones who dont have any draft picks from 98-05.. well, yeremiah who i think is our best player in the secondary. anyways, miami has alot of needs. you plug and play through free agency but, build in the draft. The colts win year after year.. why? draft!!!!!

If there is no one worthy of signing just for the hell of it whats the point. If we are able to get great special team players/backups for depth and a solid wideout and starting tackle , also some linebackers and some D linemen. How is that bad or unimpressive, its a good start to a bad team. What do you want him to do go sign every over the hill over hyped player that was available at the beginning of free agency. He go exactly who we needed to improve the spots we needed, the rest will be adressed at draft. After the draft the posisitions we might not have gotten then i wont be surprised if we start seeing a couple of overpaid veterans gettin some dough from us. He is doing the smart thing and im glad we have someone with a half a brain up in the front office this time around.

Dude...I know you're frustrated, but just be patient. The best move so far was cutting some dead weight here. Zach hurts as it will when JT leaves, but they have to go eventually. Try taking emotion out of it. It'll add days to your life. (God knows we need it for the season when we'll come close to having heart attacks).

DTronic already gave you 4 other starters. And we'll pick up more after the June 1st cuts.

For all of us who bleed Aqua and Orange, I think this front office is starting to stitch us up -vs- putting on bandaides. We'll soon be competitive again. Just be patient and take your emotion out of it.

since when is firing the entire coaching staff and training staff as well as replacing ~ 1/2 if not more of the team base called " slightly tweaking the team" if you gave Cam/ram a break you have got to give BP a chance

Holliday and Roth aren't worth anything, based on their performances last year.

Thomas was given the opportunity to go to a team that he wants to go to. They terminated his contract and let him become a free agent so he could choose where he wanted to go. I feel that they showed him the utmost respect in letting him to wherever he wants to go. Zach even said himself that Parcells has nothing but class.

I do agree with you that Roth and Holliday aren't going to fit our new defense. Maybe Parcells and Co. have something else planned for the future of the defense.

Wow, did you expect miracles in less than 3 months when we haven't even had a draft yet? With the worst team in the league? Thats was so badly abused by the previous regimes?...................Reality check my man!

We are signing good special teams and depth players. Something we did not have last year, and are drafting our core, future stars. Just because we did not make a huge splash and flashy FA signing does not mean we are not having a productive offseason. This is called rebuilding and we will be greatful for it in the future. I for one, am satisfied and happy with how we are tackling this offseason. As we need to develope our own face and our own team, I am also glad we did not sign that player to a huge multi year, 10 mil per year contract, which would probably have hurt this team more than helped it.
