I still can't figure out what the Dolphin Dollars are or how they are calculated

I went to the the thread with 1,700 pages about the Phins dollars. I still couldn't make any sense of what they are or what the formula is. I have over 3,000 posts and I have 1700 dollars. But I just saw some new member that has 54 posts and over 3,000 dollars. WTF?
