I tentatively step onto the Gus Bus..

He did very well today and managed the O well. Yet, he is prone to at least one REALLY boneheaded play like the toss to the ground in front of Ronnie on that one play, but unlike Feeley, the play doesnt normally turn into a disaster.

Lets see if he can keep it up. Here is hoping!

I haven't checked to see what Frerotte's rating was today, but as with you, I thought he managed the game well. I also thought his passes were very nice today. What's up with Chamber's and his hands? We showed some good improvement today. My hope is we just keep it up!

I am on the Gus bus, I do hold the right to change my mind as it was one game. But I gotta say, he impressed the hell out of me today. He swayed me alot today. The confidence, the savy, the poise. Great job

Like I and many others haven't been using that as teh #1 reason why Gus should have been the starter in the first place. All anyone else wanted to do here in the preseason is look at the numbers on the stat sheet. Gus had all these things that AJ doesn't.

Anyone notice AJ was shown once with a headset on when they were basically saying what a failure he was. Then AJ was nowhere to be seen the rest of the game. They showed Sage shacking Gus's hand at the end and patting him ont he back smiling....AJ was nowhere in sight :rolleyes:
 
i was always in favour of Gus.. Only because of his POISE.. he certainly showed it today!
1 bad INT... that looked like more he was expecting a receiver to make a cut.. but other than that.. no mistakes...good presence... NICE
 
Hey after that performance I think everyone is on the Gus Bus. What impressed me is that we really looked smooth other than the penalties. That really surprised me. It's one thing to call a great game its another to have the team execute it. It looked like we've been running that offense for three years
 
Gus played VERY well today.

The pick looked more like a miscommunication than anything else (blown route, something like that)

he had a very good completion % (67% I believe)

showed touch when he needed to, gunned it when the situation called for it.

He played smart, made good decisions, and made some very good throws.
 
I was for starting AJ but I also realize that is why I am at home typing instead of coaching. I trust in Saban and Linehan to make the right decisions for the TEAM. no looking back or arguing from me. I will take one of those GUS BUS Tickets please.

He had a 96.4 QBR.
 
I've been on the Dolphins bus all of my cognitive life. I've never been on a players bus before, and I'm not about to start now.
