Last night was awful. After that Heath Miller TD, I felt like puking. I really thought we'd pull this one out. After numerous beers, shots of whiskey and general depression, I pulled out of my funk and took some positives from last night's game.

1) Wes Welker. I wasn't a huge fan of his, but he has made me a believer! This guy did everything for the Dolphins last night. Receiving, returning punts, you name it. My vote for team MVP.

2) Will Allen. He was by far the most impressive member of the secondary last night. He recovered the fumble on the goalline, made some great tackles and had good coverage overall.

3) A Glimpse of Daunte to be. Daunte made some BEAUTIFUL throws last night and overall moved the team well. It encouraged me to see we have a QB that can finally do that. Despite the INTs at the end of the game, I totally believe Daunte will continue to shake the rust off and shine.

4) The secondary. Overall, it could be seen as a disaster. But several things have to be taken into account here:

a) Travis Daniels was out
b) These are four guys who have never played together before this season.
c) We had no consistent pass rush.

Had any of those things been different, we might have seen a better performance from the DBs last night.

So I am back to real life here and feeling pretty good (the nausea has subsided). I'm looking forward to correcting these mistakes and learning from them.

Let's get out there and put a hurting on Buffalo!

I'm also starting to feel a little better...and this WEBSITE helps...discussing the game with other FinFans who actually know something about this team and about football helps alot. There are some clowns and so called FinFans who make we want to puke and have no clue about the game that really need to get outta here...but at least they are entertaining.

Go Fins!!!

Completely agreed. Welker was amazing. Made up for a lack of straight line speed with great agility and strength. Allen was great and came through nicely and Daunte looked really good I thought just caught a bad break with Porter having amazing hands. Travis Daniels coming back will make a huge difference I think.

guys just remember....there are 16 games. We lost ONE so far. We still have the ability to go 15-1, 14-2, 13-3, 12-4, 11-5, 10-6. The season is far from over.

Absolutely brother! This site is psychotherapy for Dolphins fans! LMAO! After a bitter loss like this it's great to be able to pull together with the true Dolphins fans and discuss what went wrong and what went right.

Exactly, not to mention the fact we lost to the defending champions our first game.

Good luck with that.

Sorry six pack. J.P. Losman is no Charlie Batch and Peerless Price isn't...well, even Peerless Price anymore. Sounds like you Bills fans are underestimating your opponent, which is very dangerous. We're like a wounded animal right now and have a lot of time to prepare for you. Just watch.

And I'll be sure to visit a Bills forum to rub some salt in your wounds after New England disembowels the Jills this weekend.

Im over it now. I was disapointed and very angry, but of course thats to be expected, I wanted us to win. Like stated before Welker, who Ive for long been a fan of, showed the LEAGUE he is a fantastic player. Will Allen played very nicely and DID tackle Heath Miller, even though it wont go down in the stat book. Taylor and Thomas played well, Daunte did ok till the two INTS, so theres reason to be hopeful. Its just a shame after 6 months of an off season to start with a loss.

Come next game, were all be smiling and joking and laughing at how we crushed the Bills.

We need Jason Allen so get in there and step up...believe it or not...he is the key to this secondary...he has the Speed to make up ground...I bet...if he was in on the play for the 1st TD...the one where Tillman was late on...J. Allen would have at least tipped the ball away...but I think with his ability...he would have had an int.

I hope I'm right about this kid.

Go Fins!!!

Nope, not over it. Won't be over it until we beat a good team. And we won't even have the chance for almost a month.

Judging by his performance in the preseason he wouldn't have been anywhere close to make the play. Things can change and he can get better but as of now he's playing like a rookie and I don't think he would have played any better than Tillman.

I think it would have been alot easier to forget the game last night if we wouldnt have just sort of self imploded at the end, that sucked.
