I don’t mean make his career. I mean make his case.

But it could certainly break his career with Miami.

His line is in shambles. He’s gun shy. I don’t blame him after the beating he has taken over the years, and his knee injury. But we cannot afford gun shy.

So what’s he to do? All guns are aimed at him, not the least of which is Khalil Mack. I doubt we get Tunsil back, and Mack comes from Tannehill’s right anyway.

A sputtering offense with a rattled QB against a fearsome D. Do you think Chicago knows ALL about Tannehill’s last two games? And how to make it worse? Oh yeah. You bet they do.

And this is where we see if Tannehill can get a little pissed. Everybody on the planet not named Gase is highly suspicious of him right now. Sports commentators, fans, media, everybody. Even Armando put out a not too flattering piece today.

So will he fold up and whimper? Will a crushing defeat be met by a billion told-you so’s? Will a decimated line add him to an ever expanding IR list (the Wizard of Osweiler? Batter up)?

Or will he finally be what we need him to be? Not Marino. Or Brady. Or Favre. Just a good, consistent QB who can get it done.

We need the win this weekend. Very badly. Not so much for playoff hopes (if we make it I doubt we’ll go anywhere).

We need it for just a hint of faith. Hope. Possibilities.

Because nobody buys it now.

And that’s why Tannehill needs it more than anyone.

Look if he doesn't work out in the long run (which I don't think it will but he could surprise us) I'm excited to get some new energy at QB. You see how the right QB can jump start things fast if its clicks. Maybe we hit on one of those guys but we gotta keep trying until we do. Continue to build off what we have. We have some exciting young players on Defense. Kenyan Drake is beast, Grant and Wilson are young and fast. I'm a Miami Dolphins 35 plus years, traveled all over the country supporting these guys and I will long after Ryan Tannehill is gone. I'm ready for a new chapter to start - this has been ugly from the beginning.

I will cheer for him because he wears my team's uniform.

But I know he needs to be replaced. Some people thrive under pressure, the adrenaline makes them come alive, slows things down. That is not Tannehill. He isnt an alpha, hes a beta.

You need an alpha at QB.

He hasn't been a consistently good QB for seven years so all of the sudden a light is supposed to go off and he will be good? He is a seven year veteran and he is what is is,which is mediocre. I want to be the king of England, but no matter how much I may want that, it is not going to happen. And no matter how much people would like Tannehill to be a good franchise QB, he is not.

I'm going to make a bold prediction that we will hear "we want Brock!" coming from the stands on Sunday, warranted or not.

I hope I'm wrong and Tannehill is the MVP of the game but history tells us otherwise in his 7 year career he's had multiple games where it was his time to shine but he did fold up and whimper.

if they say we want Brock, what they're really saying is they want a new QB in 2019

Hell I’d take a beta at QB. Tannehill not a beta

Yep. It’s 2016 week 5 all over again.

No it isn’t.

There’s no Ajay to cut 200+ against the Steelers. As if Gase knows this is a running offense.

Our D is amazing (yeah, they are), our O is hideous.

Kickoff. We 3-0 and punt or our D holds. If we hold, THEN 3-0 and punt. And so on until our D is gassed. And then the chewing begins.

There is no reason for failure of this magnitude.

Other than ineptitude.

It’s week 6, not 5. 3-2, you know. And while our D is amazing (yeah, they are), our O is hideous.

This O-line is even worse than that unicorn O-line in 2016. It’s made Drake usesless

On this site it’s post week 5 of 2016 right now. Most definitely is.

And look I’m not saying he’s played great football. In fact if I had one plus grade on o right now it would be tunsil.

But I’ve seen this witch hunt before.

If Tunsil doesn't go this will be the rock bottom game of the season. Then he'll bounce back and have some good games and we'll decide to just take one last shot at building around him rather than look for a replacement next offseason.
