if we can get a CB that can come in immediately and play well in the first couple rounds, we might be OK. but i doubt Nathan Jones is going to impress. i really wish we could of gotten a FA CB and drafted a day one CB to play slot next season and later replaced Will Allen.

Who needs a cornerback when Matt Roth is going to sack the qb every single snap.

you know how CB seasoning goes, first they get toasted and by the end of the season the are making plays

as someone mentioned our DB coach is top-notch

maybe we'll do what the niners did back in 81? They drafted 3 DB's with their top 3 picks....Ronnie Lott was one of them....the other 2 escapes me right now but they all started as rookies and SF went to and won the superbowl.....not saying we'll draft 3 DB's as our safeties are set...but would NOT be surprised if we take 2 corners with our top 4 picks along with a LB and a WR.

Ozzy rules!!

I think Sean Smith might be the best choice considering the size of the Moss and Owens and the big WR trend

I agree, I think we will get one early, and later...you know damn well BP and co. are searching high and low for the guy with the intangibles who has decent speed. Are you a football player? That is what matters in the end.

BP drafts in two's alot, so this is not crazy whatsoever.

Our free agency signings wont be over until the preseason. There will be CB's on the market after the draft and after training camp cuts. While we will not get an elite player, there is definitely the possibility of picking up a starting caliber CB or nickle back. Some teams have have too many CB's after the draft, and I am sure one will end up on our team. Also, having a rookie CB start isn't out of the question either, being that CB is a position where a new player can contribute immediately.

Nice dream fellow Phinz fan :hump: but our CBs are a nightmare waiting to happen :err:

We might be ok at CB, but it's the kind of ok that will get us killed when we're chasing around Moss and TO 4 times this year. I don't think it's as dire as some people are making it out because Parcells and Co have obviously shown a belief in Jones and Thomas, on top of which JAllen is a pretty intriguing wildcard. Doesn't really matter who we draft since a rookie CB is going to be a ? but we can hope they'll flash enough promise to make our CBs good enough if definitely not great.
