i know its early and thomas may do better but he looked slow and did not show me much burst and i know he didnt have much room but he went down easy, bush is not an every down back and sheets and hilliard are not going to cut it, maybe we bring in kevin smith? portis? i bet this is what they are talking about tomorrow.

I agree. I still can't believe this team worked out Larry Johnson.....damn Ricky must have pissed some people off. It doesn't take a genius to run the rock.....at 21, 22 years old you should be banging your body into the gaps in order to prove yourself in the NFL. I hope Thomas looks better next week.

there where no lanes to run through. i was surprised the burst dt had when he caught the ball on the sidline. looked alittle faster than i thought he was. sheets showed heart and didnt come down easy. but imo you cant really judge the rbs tonite bc how bad the line was

Yeah, we need a NEW RB that packs heat ... to drop all those defenders swarming in the backfield & balling up the line.

Don't worry about running back and worry about line. Not many running backs can do good behind the line we had tonight

Yea, Thomas blows. I mean, every other back in the NFL would of shown plenty of burst as their disastrous offensive line allowed a stampede of defenders to meet the RB at the LOS. They all would of looked fast getting stonewalled as soon as they touched the ball. Sure shown some burst on that catch in the flats, but what do I know.

No to running back, yes to Offensive line. If you have a line that can make holes anybody can run through them. If you have a line that lets every D-lineman through, it doesnt matter what running back you get he will get smashed as soon as he touches the ball.
